  • Visually appealing but doesn't work

By PW in Atlanta (Pcmac user)

I tried this on my new iPad4. Love the visual layout and think it has the ability to be an incredible tool, but it doesn't sync between devices- even iDevices. Read the instructions. The documentation is attractive, but after jumping back and forth to the Table of Contents, I found the procedural flow disorganized, and the app does NOT work as documented. The main problem with the app (for my purposes) is syncing between iPad and iPhone. I need to input To dos and appointments in the iPad, because of the larger screen and visibility of the right-hand notes page, but I need to view, edit and manage these items in my iPhone 5 while I'm in the field. Sometimes things sync, but most often, they don't. I've tried shutting down both apps and restarting, checking sync settings (not that they are documented)... It just doesn't work. Tech support did not respond when I submitted a ticket. Too bad. This is what I need and would be willing to pay for it if it worked. Back to trying out apps for me. If anyone can suggest something to track To Dos, Appointments AND Contacts, other than Act, please comment.
  • Really wish it worked

    By ToddD-) (Pcmac user)

I love the fact that this app works like a paper planner book and gives functionality no other app on the market seems to do. It's a digital form of the planner that keeps a person's daily life organized - using the A1,2,3 B1,2,3, C1,2,3 prioritizing method... which is great. But, now every time I add a task it makes the task repeat indefinitely, without creating a repeat rule. So, every day going forward looks the same. I read the other reviews and decided to take a chance as I NEED this app - but sadly I arrived at the same place of disappointment and frustration as others. I'm not spending money to buy the pro version if the free version doesn't even work properly. I am still looking for another version of this app made by someone else. Sadly, I can't get through to this app's online support either. Would have paid for a working version of this in a heart beat. Being able to move tasks from one day to another, change the status, have an ongoing master list, etc... was great when it worked.
  • Deal breaking flaws

    By Mellyame (Pcmac user)

Trust with caution! I wanted to like it, and at first I really did! Took time to start reading instructions, it seemed promising. However with continued use I ran into two big issues: 1- does not sync with my google calendar. Sometimes my old app needed a refresh too but I couldn't figure out how to prompt it here. I had a lot of rescheduling to do around vacation and the lack of syncing for view on my laptop could have been disastrous if I didn't have a good memory and level of caution. 2-master and scheduled tasks don't show up in daily. I'm coming from Todo Pro which you can filter important things so you can see upcoming events. I scheduled one with a deadline..and this app took it as the scheduled date to do it. Which, if I had relied on this app, I'd have been screwed because it was a bit of a project that could take several days of research to complete. Yikes! Also I need a week view and this doesn't seem to offer it in portrait orientation.
  • Ditched Planner Plus

    By samh_2012 (Pcmac user)

Like the look and functionality of this app. Tried Planner Plus and pretty much threw my money away. The font, tabs, bright color, & function of this app is much more suitable. Thank you and please don't change! Hesitated on going with your Pro due to the review and ratings. If that were to straighten out I would try it :) The more I use this app, the more I like it!
