To get started, Download the OpenPC software »

Simple and fun

I love that there are Star Trek and Star Wars special effects, but the generic ones are in many ways more valuable as you can use them in your own films. Downsides - it doesn’t appear that you can use your existing footage, you have to be in the app and shoot to add the effect. Also the “edit timing” function just appears to move where in your timeline the effect comes in, but you can slow down or speed up the effect. Perhaps importing the final saved effect into another editor would allow this, I haven’t tried. Also to the good - you can choose to export as a GIF. Fun and easy, although I’d love some more features. I’ll admit I quickly plunked down a few dollars to buy some of the effects I really loved, but there were free ones too, and none are expensive. Maybe the first time I’ve spent money in an app.
Great app, but needs some additional features

This is an amazing movie app that is fun, while also looking professional. In this app you can: Do amazing effects Record audio and video Purchase different packs (with extra effects) for $0.99 each Send to your photo library/iMovie Send to email/text/instagram Has very cool Star Wars effects, but when you download the app it comes with only one Star Wars effect, the rest must be purchased Various Call of Duty packs Tutorial for Filming tips Gallery for viewing previous made videos (after every video when you click back, it auto-saves to your this app library) Does not have: The option to import videos from your library Amazing sound quality/volume in videos Once Upon a Time smoke (if you do not know what this is, it is irrelevant) Timer for recording Trimming option (this can be done in your photo library) Reverse option for video Option for multiple effects in video Option to move the targeted destination of the effect ———————————————————— I would recommend this app to anyone who want to add simple or slightly complex effects for their videos/movies, but for high-end ‘Netflix or theater quality’ video effects, this is not the app for you.
Great App

So far the best movie fx app in the galaxy. There seems to be an intergalactic theme in this app because of the Star Trek and Star Wars fx. The best thing about this app is the range of the effects and the tremendous amount of effects to choose from. I love how it keeps the editing simple and has the red and green frame outlines during recording. There are still areas in need of improvement, however. There are a couple of bugs when editing and importing. For example, I recorded the video with the effect of B.B.-8 n the app, and it was fine, but when I imported to camera roll, BB8 was upside down. I am not sure if this has been fixed or not, though. Also, I was hoping for a Death Star blowing up or a Star Destroyer in the Star Wars bundle, so please add these. Overall, a great app, though.

ok so ever since I could remember my dad would have this app. I've always loved it and still love it to this day. people say this app never gets new things to put in your videos but the Star Wars affects have been added, so they're wrong. if you saw this app, wanted to get it but wasn't sure so you went down to the reviews to see how other people liked it - which is what I personally do - you should totally get this app, it's free! and even if you don't like it you can always delete the app after downloading it. but I don't think you'll have too. this app is great I would definitely recommend it for all people who are bored and want a fun app to play.
