  • A waste of time

    By SBCpp (Pcmac user)

This application has a nice U.I., some unique and helpful features such as the project dashboard, and the developers keep adding features through frquent updates. I really want to like this app and make it my only organizer/project manager/to do list, but bugs and problems keep piling up. For example, one of the touted features of this version is that you can drop an email into the this app and it will automatically convert into a task; I tried several times (including after quitting and restarting applications …) but I am unable to do that using Apple Mail. I tried to get some instructions for the help menu, but their online manuals do not include the current version of the software, and when I click on "Start Organizer Tutorial" in the "Welcome Assistant" nothing happens. Finally, after rebooting the computer, I could drag and drop some emails into the open application and the title/subject of the email was converted to a task (without any other text, so email body did not transfer as a note to the task), however flagged emails for some reason did not work. One other major issue for me is that the developer is following in the footsteps of OmniFocus and Things who use their own servers to sync with other Macs and iOS devices instead of iCloud, despite many users wanting to sync only via iCloud .
  • Great idea but it doesn’t work

    By Walkabout1 (Pcmac user)

I have used Outlook for years and was looking for more organizational features. This program has all those organizing features that I was looking for but I cannot get it to work. They have a great idea but it isn’t well developed in its current state. I love how projects and sub-projects can be set up and the contexts features. The incorporation of a mind map import is a great feature. However, I could not find any other files that it would import. I can not complete a repeating task without it saying that I completing all future tasks. There are so many ways of doing the same command that the graphics are cluttered. The calendar view doesn’t show just the tasks for the day. It has features to review the tasks but you aren’t able to change any of the settings to get a meaningful review (review the day, month or year). Customer support has never replied to my questions. I feel like I need to download the program and start over because there are so many errors, no one could be selling it and surviving. This is not worth the frustration of a free program no less an expensive app.
  • Great cross platform cloud synched task manager

    By fgregory777 (Pcmac user)

This is a great cross platform cloud synched task manager. I have used this app for about a year and a half and they continuallly improve this product. I choose this over web based task managers for two reasons, I need to use it when internet is not available meaning i wanted a local client on all my devices, and I wanted cloud synching. It does have the ability to email tasks to this app and it will show on all your devices, however, it is not a dedicated email address so it will only recognize emails sent from the registration email account. This means that no one else can email you tasks. Overall fantastic in both support and continually improving the product. Gave it four stars instead of five for some nicks in user interface design and lack of dedicated email for adding tasks. Overall I highly recommend this task manager. Best cross platform task manager out there.
  • Really Cool / Minor Bugs

    By Big Doofus (Pcmac user)

Downloaded this app to try to this app some of my work related activities. At first the GUI is not very intuitive but once I started clicking around and making use of the projects I figured most of the basic features out pretty quickly. It is a very useful tool / concept for organizing projects and tasks. I really like the ability to set security levels to projects with different passwords - and it is very slick in that when you add a security level to a line item that item is invisible until you enter the password for it’s security level (numbered 0 to 5 / Unclassified to Top Secret) So far the only major problem I’ve had with it is everytime I click out of the app into something else, like Mail, or Firefox and then come back to it the keyboard will be locked up or frozen. I will still be able to select items with the trackpad but it will not let me edit any entries or type in any of the text entering fields. The only way I’ve been able to remedy this bug is to close the app entirely and reopen it from the launchpad. Luckily the app saves everything automatically so even though this is a relatively quick thing to do, when you have to close and reopen it several times within several minutes it gets pretty annoying. Some reviews below indicate there are problems syncing it to an iOs device - but I haven’t tried this feature yet. I’m not sure what the difference is between this app pro and taskfabric 2 is. The price difference is only 10$ - so if you’re considering this app you might be just as well off to go with taskfabric 2 - no idea if it has any issues though. Pagico may also be a better option as it is about the same price and with less bugs.
