Install ShippingExplorer app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using ShippingExplorer on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "ShippingExplorer"
The search will reveal the ShippingExplorer app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once ShippingExplorer is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including ShippingExplorer.
Now enjoy ShippingExplorer on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use ShippingExplorer,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "ShippingExplorer" » then Click "Install".
- ShippingExplorer will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

✔ Pros:

- Ability to look up favorite cruise ship and track its recent locations

- App is set up well

☹ Cons:

- Poor graphics on iPad version, with grid patterns obscuring vessel or track

- Inaccurate information, with vessel positions being days old and harbors appearing empty

- Difficulty in finding ships, with similar apps being more effective

- Error popup preventing app from working properly

- Initial license entry field may confuse users and prevent app from functioning

This seems set up well, but the information is completely inaccurate. The vessel positions are days old, and harbors full of ships are empty according to the app.
Neat app but needs to be optimized

Neat that I can look up my favorite cruise ship and see where it has been lately. But the graphics on my iPad version needs some work, for instance the grid patterns which divide the earth into quadrants sometimes obscure the vessel or track underneath it. Fix that and I give this 5 stars.
Demo mode worthless

I stood next to a colleague using a similar app (Marine traffic ships & wind) and his app found all the ships but this app couldn't find the 600 ft ship right next to me. It did show a 6 month old area the ship had been in last October. I say pass on this app.
Does not work

Upon start, I was presented with a text entry field asking for some kind of license. DEMO is pre filled, so I just clicked Next. After that, the application does not work: I just get an error popup over and over again.
