  • Almost Perfect – Except toward the end

    By Aims1970 (Pcmac user)

I love the app theory and teach it my art classes. This program is a must download to show many different types of illusions, theory, light effects that I haven't seen elsewhere. It would be perfect, except two examples are flawed. "Colors add up" mistakenly refers to Magenta as one of the three combined colors to give a full spectrum of light or additive colors when it should be red, RGB. Same with the "999,997" screen. It shows a Magenta circle, which should be Red to produce all the colors of a monitor, or light, RGB. CMYK or the M for Magenta is for print, subtractive colors only, and is not referred at all in this app. This would also be a great addition! Maybe next version?
  • A No-Go Out of the Gate (iOS 10.2)

    By b_s_l (Pcmac user)

I installed this app (and the partner "Sound Explorer" app) on my niece's iPad Mini 2 (running iOS 10.2) with high hopes. Unfortunately, this app first opened with a note that it might slow down the iPad and needs to be updated -- and then dropped me onto a VERY heavily dimmed home page that steadfastly refused to respond to finger taps anywhere. There was also a small multi-colored band running the full width of the page at the bottom of the screen, so I suspect something went very wrong with the rendering of the home screen. I've deleted and re-installed the app to no avail -- so now it's staying deleted. NOTE: I used the "Report a Problem" link to contact the Exploratorium folks and wil update my review if/when I hear back from them.
  • Excellent rediscovery!

    By Chillygator (Pcmac user)

Things I learned in school but had developed cob webs on them due to disuse. Absolutely fascinating to play with the app and my mind and eyes using the iPad Screen. Recommend you don't read this while waiting for an airplane because people will wonder what the heck you are doing with your iPad moving it around and staring intently.
  • App

    By Golfisfun71517 (Pcmac user)

This app is easy to navigate and full of the app education. The reason for the two stars are not the functionality of this app, but rather the content. There could be more articles, videos and important information added. I could read all the content this app holds in a day or two. Also, comments regarding there views of evolution are not necessary or pertinent to the study of the app and would prefer to stay on the topic of the app as advertised, and not personal view points or theories.
