How to download and install Fitbit on your PC and Mac

4 Rating: 4 - 114,081 votes

If you want to install and use the Fitbit app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Fitbit for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Andriod emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Fitbit for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Fitbit in the search bar and press Search. Click on Fitbit application icon. A window of Fitbit on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Andriod device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Fitbit icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Fitbit for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Fitbit for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. You can get here .

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

Fitbit: Features and Descriptions

Live a healthier, more active life with Fitbit, the world’s leading app for tracking all-day activity, workouts, sleep and more. Use the app on its own to track basic activity and runs on your phone, or connect with one of Fitbit’s many activity trackers and the Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale to get a complete picture of your health—including steps, distance, calories burned, sleep, weight, and more. TRACK ACTIVITY: Accurately record your steps and distance with MobileTrack when you carry your phone. For all-day tracking of stats like calories burned, active minutes, and sleep, pair the app with a Fitbit tracker. RUN SMARTER: Enhance runs, walks and hikes by using MobileRun to track your pace, time and distance. You can also control your music, get voice cues and use your phone’s GPS to map your routes. (Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.) RECORD WORKOUTS: Use your Fitbit tracker to track your exercise, then check the app to see your stats, their impact on your day, and how your performance is improving. MONITOR HEART RATE: Use a Fitbit tracker with PurePulse™ to analyze heart rate graphs in the app. Identify trends, manage stress and see the results of your workouts. Review resting heart rate trends to see when your fitness is improving. LOG FOOD FASTER: Easily log calories with our barcode scanner, calorie estimator, and expanded food database of more than 350,000 foods. See your meal history at a glance, and get nutritional insights. MEASURE HYDRATION: Quickly log your water intake to make sure you’re properly hydrated during workouts and throughout the day. SET & MANAGE GOALS: Create weight, nutrition and exercise goals, and start a food plan to stay on track. Then get a visual picture of your progress with colorful, easy-to-read charts and graphs. SEE HOW YOU SLEEP: Set sleep goals in the app, and use a Fitbit tracker to monitor how much time you spent awake, restless or peacefully sleeping. SHARE & COMPETE: Connect with friends and family by sharing stats, sending direct-messages, and competing on the leaderboard or in Fitbit Challenges. STAY MOTIVATED: Get a nudge in the right direction with notifications that pop up when you’re close to reaching a goal or have already met one. SYNC WIRELESSLY: Fitbit trackers sync your stats to computers and 200+ leading devices so you can continuously track your progress without needing to plug in. MANAGE WEIGHT: Connect wirelessly to the Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale to seamlessly track your weight, BMI, lean mass and body fat percentages, and to see your weight trends over time. As of yesterday my app is freezing when I select the month cycle tracker. The calendar doesn’t show up and the app just freezes. I can’t go back I can’t hit settings. Nothing. My only option is to quit and reload the app but it doesn’t solve the problem.

The app keeps freezing every time I got to use the tracking part for tracking your period. The whole thing refuses to work if you go into that section. You can’t get out to look at steps or challenges. Even after closing it and reopening the app it is still stuck. Definitely need to fix these bugs ASAP

I absolutely love my Fitbit!! I wear it every day, it works great, I believe it’s accurate with my step count. However the period tracker keeps freezing any time I try to use it, I’m currently trying to conceive and this really helps me keep track of my days and ovulation. I would love if it worked correctly so I can accurately log my details.
  • Period Tracker Doesn't Work...

I love my Fitbit device and I love the app overall, however the new period tracker feature does not work for me at all. I entered my information at first, but now every time I try to enter the period tracker feature by clicking on it from the main screen, the entire app freezes up and nothing is displayed on the calendar. This review would be 5 stars if the feature functioned.

I love my fitbit and the app, and I love getting the notifications about who is calling or texting me. To make it better tho you should add social media notifications like for example when someone sends a snap to you.

It’s not allowing me to use the woman’s health calendar. When I try to use that option nothing shows up on the screen, I can’t enter any info in and the app crashes. It would also be wonderful if I was able to edit sleep info. It Normally tracks when I fall asleep pretty accurately, but it always shows my wake up time as 1 to 2 hours after I actually wake up.

Good idea and basic platform points. Consistently doesn’t sync with my iPhone 7 when it’s activated. Very disappointing because I ride my bike a lot and the phone has to be in sync to track it. Bummer man 🤙🏼
