Works Well With Minor Flaw
By MacSince86 (Pcmac user)
this app works well and seems to the app individual words and short phrases accurately. There is only one annoying aspect to it: When you set the Preferences to start this app automatically upon powering up your Mac, the drop-down menu automatically opens when the Mac has awakened. Not a big deal; you can click anywhere on screen to close the window. But why have the app do that at all? Plus, it's useless for the app to do that because before I can use this app, I have to open other apps, and this is an action that will close the this app window.

Bugs.
By 5ifty1 (Pcmac user)
No ability to resize the window. This is a problem on language selection as you cannot see all the languages thus you have to guess which language you are picking if your language is below the main window height. Makes no sense in using this if you can’t even select a language. The only way to fix this is to open the preferences dialog so that the window stretches longer, and then go back to the language selection area. Please fix.
Also, does not keep language settings. They randomly revert back to “Detect Language” at times.
Last but not least, clicking the star icon to save a translation for the first time ends up opening a webpage of google the app from WITHIN the app, totally making a mess out of the popup window. Once logged in, there is no way to revert other than reloading the app. From this point, you can star a translation, but you cannot interact with those saved translations.
Unfortunately, Translatium was a way better implementation of GTranslate, but as of today, has been shut down.

Excellent for language study
By Doge 41 (Pcmac user)
This app has been invaluable for my study of Italian. It’s particularly helpful when you need a definition or translation quickly, it’s a keystroke away. I use it multiple times each day.
