Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "QQ"
The search will reveal the QQ app icon. Open, then click "Install".

✔ Pros:

- Provides basic QQ chatting functionality for Mac users

- Sanitized version in the App store is pretty clean

☹ Cons:

- Dark mode is not supported

- Asks to go to their own website to update to the newest version, which installs something called "QQ Platform" that adds no functionality and causes computer to momentarily hang during shutdowns

- Playing an empty 5 sec soundtrack in the background is a bad way to keep the app running

- Explanation for login issues is in Chinese, making it difficult for non-Chinese speakers to understand and fix the problem

- QQ is synonymous with spyware in China, which may make some users hesitant to use the app.

Abuse of macOS bkgd play feature

What are you supposed to do by playing an empty 5 sec soundtrack in background round and round? If your purpose is to keep your app running this is the worst way you could come up of. Everybody know what evil thing you Tencent do on the Windows platform and now you wanna port those nuisances into macOS? You’ve got the most disgusting programmers who only think about proceeding your dirty goals regardless of user experience. This even does not deserve one star.
Dark Mode Support PLZ

I think this app for mac is better than the one for Windows, but dark mode is still a feature which is not support

this app is synonymous with Spyware here in China, but this sanitized version in the App store is pretty clean. However, when you start it up, it immediately asks you if you want to go to their own web site to update to the newest version. DO NOT DO THIS! The “updated” version has no additional functionality but, instead, installs something called “this app Platform” which adds no functionality, but does add a “stealth” installer login item that installs who knows what and causes your computer to momentarily hang during shutdowns. However, if you don’t download the update, this App gives basic this app chatting functionality to Mac Users.
QQ for Mac is broken no longer working

I can no longer use this app. It will not let me in and the explanation is in Chinese which I cannot read, so there is no way of what is wrong, if it fixable, or how to fix it. If it is offered in the United States it should be in the language of the country. I miss talking to my friend in China.
