Software Features and Description

1. Though it's still primarily intended for musicians, the iPhone App version allows users to depress the wheel's cells and hear the chords played back in the instrument and chord voicing selected in the 'Settings' page.

2. The word of mouth from the first 100,000 customers as well as recommendations for countless teachers worldwide has made The Chord Wheel the most successful device of its kind.

3. This product is intended for beginners and intermediate students; if you can rattle off the chords of a ii-V7-I progression in the Key of Bb and know whether a C7 sound good in this key without thinking about it, you may not need it.

4. The Chord Wheel is a revolutionary device that puts the most essential and practical applications of chord theory into your hands.

5. The result is an entertaining song composer that allows you to play chord progressions without any musical knowledge whatsoever.

6. Countless testimonials from users (see Amazon.com for numerous examples) assure you that this will help you in your quest to become a better musician.

7. For musicians, it allows your ears to hear the relationships between chords and key.

8. "This is the kind of device that players of any instrument can use to enhance their musical understanding.

9. COMPOSE MUSIC - Watch your songwriting blossom! No music reading is necessary.

10. "I have given this information in lectures for years, but it's great to just tell people to go to your website and buy this thing.

  • Great app

    By Stratfan11 (Pcmac user)

Neat training aid that helps me transpose songs on the app go. Handy to have as an app. Save me tremendous time transposing songs for band.
  • Please Enable Rotate to Portrait Mode

    By Hopewellcoffin (Pcmac user)

I bought the app book and will find the app app useful as well. I’m happy that the app issue with the app sound has been fixed but would like to be able to use the app app in portrait mode. Landscape feels clunky and using the app app in portrait wouldn’t mean the app wheel is obstructed in any way. It’s just a circle. But the app device you’re using would be more comfortable in hand.
  • Fantastic!

By 2 Know Me (Pcmac user)

the app real deal. This is the app ORIGINAL! "Chord Wheel" finally brought to the app iPhone. I've been using the app original printed version of this app (published by Hal Leonard) for over three years, and this app version is even better! the app guitar and piano chord voicings make it even more useful for noodling out pleasing new chord progressions for new songs. I'm using it on my iPad2 (with 2x scaling) and it works great, looks great! As a guitar-and-voice songwriter with absolutely no music theory background, I'd pretty much given up on myself ever learning music theory in this lifetime. Amazingly, this app is releasing me from the app constraints of that limitation and making sense of it, as I noodle around creatively experimenting with new chord progressions for new songs. Unlike GarageBand, where I'm sometimes limited to a constrained subset of chords, Chord Wheel offers the app full range of chords, they are all available, but there's a mapping that shows me what's going to work well together and why. Great app! Helps you bust out of your old habits and discover new musical combinations and progressions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A great creativity tool for any songwriter or musician!
  • Wonderful app for vocalists and Solfège

    By DianaDoesIt (Pcmac user)

I am vocalist who is trying to learn solfeggio. I purchased Jim Fleser's book, "this app", (published by Hal Leonard), and this app. LOVE them both. I sing in a choir, and have difficulty finding the app lower harmony part, as I sing alto. My habit is to sing the app melody, or soprano part. My whole reason for learning Solfège is to try to find and hit a lower, harmonizing note. the app great thing about this app, for me, is that when I play the app sequence of ascending notes in a scale, (each one a chord), I can hit the app root note of the app key. It is the app fact that the app scales ascend in chords that makes it easy for me to find my starting note. That is why I use this app, rather than a piano app, when I am singing with a choir. the app book and app are great for trying to add solfeggio prompts to musical scores. For example, if I am in the app key of D, I set the app dial to the app key of D. Then, I can see at a glance, that I - Do - D ii - Re - E iii - Mi - F sharp IV - Fa - G V - So - A vi - La - B vii - Ti - C sharp I also learned a lot about major scale diatonic 7ths. Thanks for the app app!
