Software Features and Description

1. A handy one-button interface to start and stop the timer, it also lists the duration and spacing of the last contraction, the average and count for the last 20 minutes, and the last hour.

2. The 20 minute average lets you see if your contractions are increasing or decreasing relative to the last hour.

3. The app remembers all data and whether you were in the middle of a contraction or not between launches, so you can jump back and forth between this and your favorite game or another app to distract you during and between contractions.

4. It has advertisements and is missing the intensity and notes for each contraction, the charts and graphs, and the ability to email contraction data.

5. The hour average and count lets you decide when to go to the hospital or birthing center.

6. This is the "Lite" version of my Labor and Contraction Timer app.

7. Easily time labor contractions.

  • Just what's needed!

We found this app by chance as we waited for baby after week 41. Was simply awesome when put to use as contractions kicked in. Over 28 hrs, we used it over 4 different stretches of time - can't get simpler than a Start and Stop button! When our 20 and 60 min averages finally hit 4 and 12 (the 5-1-1 target), we headed to the hospital, 5 mins away. Within minutes, transition occurred and in a couple of hrs, we were holding our daughter ! In hindsight, we wondered whether it might have better to start driving to the hospital when the 20 and 60 min averages are around 3 and 10, giving us more time in the hospital..but we did have that reading 12 hrs from the start of contractions and after that point in time, averages declined down to 2 and 1 over the next 10 hrs before picking up again. So that one was clearly false. Anyway, by far, the most helpful app we've used :-)
  • Guesstimating is not the right answer

    By MediaGearhead (Pcmac user)

My wife had been estimating the length and interval between contractions and thought they were 30-35 seconds and 7-8 minutes apart. When I got home I grabbed this app and we started timing. They were 1:15 - 1:35 in length and 4 minutes apart. We got to the birth center 3 minutes before her water broke AND she was 10 centimeters. This app saved our car from needing a deep detailing and got us there just in time for everything to go amazingly.
