Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Great app!

    By arflychic (Pcmac user)

I’ve been using this app for many years and find it incredibly useful! There are a few little things that have been identified in other reviews, so I’m not going to repeat them. This app is well worth having and using if you frequent the National Parks - especially if you hike into the parks, beyond the parking lots and congestion. I spend a lot of time on remote trails, and some not so remote. There have been several times this app helped me find my way back after a long day on a confusing trail system. I always carry a paper map (as a backup), but there’s nothing like being able to view your location on a downloaded map of the trail system! Btw, I even carry a small solar panel to charge my phone. As with most apps, you MUST use it and familiarize yourself with it to fully benefit from its many features.
  • It’s not my repertoire

    By Ralph Netta (Pcmac user)

It’s not my repertoire to give thanks and praise for good service that I expect and deserve. But in the case of this app I will make an exception; their service and communication is without fault, almost instantaneous; the information provided in accurate and up to date, the app the most useful of all, nothing comes even close. The yearly membership was given too me as a gift, a gift that keeps giving and giving. If your a US traveler, purchasing this app with all the benefits, services and discounts it provides is a decision you will never regret. Money well spent and wisely. Ralph, NJ, USA
  • Please remove advertisements.

    By WDFARR (Pcmac user)

Hi this app, I am a National Park fanatic and love your app using it all the time. I paid the $100 to support your organization and feel that it is a fair price for me to pay. But, The one thing I would request is to be able to have a toggle to turn the advertisements with the $ icons ON or OFF in the preferences section. It is frustrating and distracting to see 20 advertisers covering the Acadia National Park icon and other major sites including Smokies, Glacier, Yosemite, Yellowstone and several others. I’ve been to all the parks in California and want to see all one color of badges showing that I’ve completed them all but the advertisements overlay in a different color. I don’t want to see the advertisements! Let paying customers see what they want or don’t want while letting your advertisers pay for those who haven’t yet subscribed. Thanks for an otherwise excellent app. Device: IPhone iOS Version: 12.3.1 App Version: 5.0.10
  • Multi-park app problem

    By elmtwee (Pcmac user)

The individual national park this app apps are excellent and an amazing resource especially since park data can be downloaded for use when no cell service is available. The problem with this replacement all parks in one app is while you can ostensibly download the data for offline use for multiple parks you still can’t switch between the parks without service, making pre-downloading pointless for multi-park tours in areas without reliable cell service.
