Software Features and Description

1. To use this App, UMMU Server must be installed on the host computer (Available for OSX and Windows, Lion and Windows 7 supported).

2. Both versions available as free downloads from: A MIDI interface (eg MIDISport 2 x 2) is also required.

3. if you use UMMU Box, you don't need a MIDI interface or host computer.

4. You can also use UMMU Box, a standalone interface manufactured by StrongSoft, and available on eBay.

5. Remote control over WiFi for the original Yamaha 01v series of Mixing consoles.

6. The App controls the console using Sysex NRPN messages over WiFi.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "01v Remote"
The search will reveal the 01v Remote app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once 01v Remote is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including 01v Remote.
Now enjoy 01v Remote on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use 01v Remote,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "01v Remote" » then Click "Install".
- 01v Remote will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

I have been using this app for a while it's great I control a Yamaha the app while I'm playing with an iPod very responsive haven't had issues. Great app

I have already used this app in a live setting twice and I have only had it for a few day. It took me a while to get it up and running but that was because I was using a cheap/bad midi to USB interface. I ended up buying the m-audio interface and it works perfectly. The developer was very responsive and answered all of my questions via email. For a board that is several years old this is an app that I would highly recommend. Make sure you save your scenes on both the iPad and the app board! That way they will always stay synced.

I've got a couple of these and one has the adat card installed. By itself it's a very powerful 24ch console, with the app it's a lot cooler. It's setup similar to the the app with pages for main auxes, selected channel and effects. The only thing you can't adjust is the dynamics but that's not a deal breaker for me anyway. I've used this interface as well as touchOSC and by far this is smoother, the amount of stuff you can tweak with touch osc isn't nearly what this can do with sysex. Couple points. Use a good ($30+) USB to midi cable, cheap ones can't handle the longer data strings. Any cheap pc running the UMMU server software will.do just fine. It's a small program, easy to instal.they make a wifi midi box which eliminates the need for a PC/UMMU server, might be worth it and definitely more reliable. The iPad and PC must connected to the same wifi radio. And the UMMU server must have the same IP address as the iPad. This is pretty easy. There is a help page and it's pretty good. I had 2 major drawbacks setting this up: bad USB to midi cable, and a wireless router I bought was defective out of the box. Both have been replaced and all is good. Hope that helps.

This app has had completely changed the way the quality of my events are. I can now leave my the app with the band, and mix everything live from the audience without having to run back to the mixer to change something. The app does have a couple issues, but after talking to the author (great, fast response by the way), it seems as it might be an issue with dsmidiwifi's packet loss. Absolutely LOVE this app!
