  • Mostly Fantastic App with a frustrating bug

    By Alice Valkyrie (Pcmac user)

This app is great for keeping track of the app shows I’m watching (and now movies too) but lately the app crashes a lot while loading my the app watch list. When my watch list will load, the season/episode info or the info for individual episodes will often fail to load. Other than this the app is pretty great, but lately it’s been a hassle to sometimes have to reload the app multiple times before I can log/rate/etc an episode I’ve watched. Please fix this! The only other issue I have with the app is if I’ve watched a current season, but haven’t watched the previous seasons of a show, the app will show that I’m “up to date” with it. And even if I go back and watch the previous episodes (and log them as I do so), the show won’t show up on my “watch next” list-meaning I have to search for it by name every time. The only way I’ve found around this is to un-check the most recent episode of a series (pretending I haven’t watched it even if I have) and even doing that, the show still won’t move to the top of the “watch next” list when I watch an older episode (meaning I’ll presumably have to repeat this process every so often if I don’t want the show to go to the “haven’t watched for a while” list). I’d think this could be easily fixed, and I wish it would be.
  • Essential app for TV show maniacs.

    By Andy Chatzeiliadis (Pcmac user)

When I switched to the iPhone a year ago, I was sad ‘cause my go-to app then for the app show tracking, SeriesGuide, was not available on iOS. So naturally, I searched for an alternative and found this app. I cannot say it enough in how many ways it’s far more superior than any other app in its category. The Watchlist tabs provides for an easy way to see what you gotta watch, the calendar view makes it really easy when the next episode of your favorite show is gonna air, the profile tab makes it easy to customize how you show up in the app’s social network. Now about the social network! Before using this app, the app show nerds had to resort to groups on various social network that you had to a lot of digging to find, to join the fandom. Now, you just got an amazing social networking experience inside the app that is incredibly easy to talk about your favorite the app show with an entire community. Also, the explore tab has been really important to me, cause I don’t have to sit down and spend time reading reviews of new the app shows, I just start watching! Kudos to the developer, you’re awesome! I mean, I feel a little bad it’s free..
  • Only one current issue

    By Q8wtiii (Pcmac user)

The app is perfect. It is everything you could ask for when it comes to tracking your shows, discovring new ones and sharing your opinions with your friends and the community, etc. Currently, as for update 6.15.4, There is an issue that bugged me for a long time. I thought that the issue would be resolved in later updates ( as of when i started noticing it ) but it still has not. The issue is as follows : whenever i tap the “For you” section and want to see what my friends activites i have to refresh the section twice or three times in order for my friends icons to show up so that i can tap them, what bugs me more is the green color [ that shows up around the icon indicating that the user recently watched an episode or added a new show ( has a new activity in their feed in genral ) ] does not show up when i refresh and thus i do not know my friends recent activity. I really hope that this issue is resolved as soon as possible for that this section is one my favourite of the app and i do not want to hate it.

Edit: Know that the recent update even further turned this app to mush. To the point it isn't even working properly on the most recent update on my iPhone x running ios 12. I don't know why the developers continue to change the UI at the sake of the UX. It's a shame. I really liked this app. Going to delete it. Previous: The interface was efficient and streamlined before the most recent update as per the date of this post. Now you must individually go to each episode to mark them as watched and wait for load times for a now bloated app looking to increase its UI design rather than add additional features. It’s always been an app that by design promotes a more social network vibe based around the app so I didn’t give it a completely useless rating. Know what you're getting into first. The design of the app has great features but the interface is now clunky. For something that is supposed to save you time, you end up spending as much time updating your calendar as you would watching an episode of the show your updating. Overall it’s a decent app, I just wish it focused on its main objective rather than the trend of socializing every app. I have friends, so I don’t need an online community to discuss a show with, just an inventory system to keep track of what I’ve watched, what I’ve missed, and what I might miss.
