The shape of the app is correct, and Kathmandu/Pokhara are definitely two cities in the app, but that's about all that's here. I recommend preloading maps in google before you set off, this app is not very helpful- especially for the price tag.

Tap navigation and you get to a blank screen. Does not work at all. Shame on Apple for putting this in the App Store. Click on support and you get unrelated advertisements.
  • Good, but...

I was recently in the app for 6 weeks and used this app a lot. Though I had downloaded the program only about 4 months ago, the version on my iPhone said “version 1”. I didn’t notice this until I used the program in the app, hoped for improvements, and went to look for an update. I now see that the version in the App store claims it is version 5. However, I can’t get that to download reliably to try it. So, I don’t know if the comments below still apply. I you are like me and you want to walk all over Nepalese cities then you have a choice: get a mapping program or get lost - take your pick. Intersections often consist of 5 streets, streets come of at irregular angles, and when you are buried down in the man-made canyons of narrow Kathmandu streets it can be very difficult to determine precisely where north is, particularly on cloudy days. So, it is very, very easy to be on the wrong street. Adding to this, what passes as a street and acceptable route may be what looks like an alley when you stand in front of it. You say to yourself, “That can’t be it” -the street you are looking for - but it is. So, without belaboring the point, a GPS enabled map is a definite requirement in my book. this app served me well. I don’t fault that. I did not get lost and could quickly tell when I’d taken the wrong street (easy to do even with the map) because of the GPS feedback. The problem I did experience with my version is that there is no way to mark a point of interest according to my chosen label. If I happen to want to mark a spot that is known to the this app as a point of interest then the label for the POI will be named according to the this app choice. However, it might be noting a restaurant when I want to make note of a store next to the restaurant. And, if there is no close POI noted to this app then the POI will simply be named by the date and time it was noted. This is marginally helpful but very inferior to being able to name the spot what I want to name it (Example: "Bought jewelry here” or “great croissant”). So, once again, I cannot say if the latest version has solved this because it won’t download to my iPhone 5S, running OS 7.1. Last, while I was in the app I did purchase both in-app purchases. This did give me the ability to plot a course (e.g. back to the hotel) but it did not solve the POI naming problem. Now that I am trying to update to what is labeled as version 5 I don’t know if they will want to charge me again for the in-app purchases. So, would I buy it again? Yes, if I didn’t find a better program. I did not get lost and in Kathmandu that is saying something. Since there are no street signs, streets often look like alleys, and streets in KTM are like man-made slot-canyons, I have never been in a city that I found more tricky for navigation.
