  • Useful, but a separate sound out would make it the best!

    By RWelsh24 (Pcmac user)

I am a student and a musician. It is great to be able to play a solid stream of non-distracting sounds through my apple TV. The only problem is that then, all my music is also forced to come out of my apple TV too. I have used Soundflowerbed and Jackwire to bus the stream coming from this app into my apple TV so that I can listen to music on my headphones or built-in speakers, but this is cumbersome to set up. It would be great if, in the preferences, I could set it to route to the Apple TV and then I could still play my computer audio through the built-in or the headphone jack. In all, the colored-noise options are varied and quite lovely. I’m personally not partial to the other sounds (i.e. rain, thunderstorm, airplane, etc.) but the different colors of noise make it optimal for fine-tuning based on the speakers. My bose speakers sound great with pink noise, but my built-ins sound best with brown. Hope this helps and truly look forward to a separate audio routing option, just like iTunes currently has.
  • Overall great

Easy to use, and sounds are good. I agree with adding some "coffee shop" type sounds. And one other thing: it would be nice to have easy keyboard shortcuts to turn off/on the sound (and maybe even to change sounds). I find that when I get a call, I just mute the computer, but then I forget this app is running until later, and it's unnecessarily using up computing power (as well as surprising me later when I wake the computer up and it starts making noise!).
  • Better than most; would like a few more features

    By Bolognious Monk (Pcmac user)

I have trouble keeping focused while working and have tried many apps like this one. What makes this app better than most is that it’s simple and doesn’t add more distraction with ads or a flashy interface. One feature I would love to see is the ability to select multiple sounds. Specifically, I’d like the ability to overlay the colored noises along with the normal sounds. I’d pay more for this feature.
  • Close to perfect

    By Anomalogue (Pcmac user)

I love this app. One suggestion would be to have an “about this app option in the menu. I can never remember the name of this app when people ask about it. You might even want to have some kind of “spread the word” option. One other thing: I could swear I hear talking behind some of the sounds, but it might just be that I need to up my meds.
