Great for Backpacking even with limited support

I bought this app about two years ago while looking for something simple to store POI and images on my trips. Currently using it ons wifi iPad 1 with a Bad Elf attachment for the app. Tracking and data collection features work great (elevation change, speed, time moving vs stopping, etc). If I had any complaints it would be that only one picture can be attached per waypoint (an album option would be nice) and there does not seem to be a way to reorganize trips if you happen to accidentally star a new trip. Customer support IS sluggish but they do eventually respond. 4 weeks later. Overall not a bad app for the money.
They fixed it

It was working fine until they updated. Absolutely nothing worked for a while. I gave a bad review and got an email very quickly explaining some last minute changes goofed it up. Then when I updated at least 100 of my waypoints disappeared. Of course as soon as I complained about it, they appeared and everything was back to normal. I love this app and how I can make my fishing on Clear Lake, CA waypoints on Google Earth and import them to my the app Kit. The customer service from Garafa is second to none. Hoping for pre-track drawing soon.
Don't waste your money

I should have given more attention to the review by RuDawg66. Currently this app is in DISREPAIR and UNSUPPORTED. Some of the primary features they tout and show in the app's promotional materials DO NOT WORK properly. Secondly I encountered user interface and software bugs while using the app. I mentioned unsupported, because I tried to communicate with Garafa, LLC through their recommended support channel 3+ weeks ago haven't received a response yet. Don't believe the featured reviews from popular channels they mention. Those must have been written 1-2 years ago. My advice, stay away...
Problems with loading maps

Really like the app - so far, it has been very good except for loading detailed high-resolution maps. I get better resolution maps on every other application except this one. I have to download the high resolution maps, but haven't been able to do that. The video help files are great and once you get the hang of them, it makes sense. However, this still needs work. Until I can seemlessly see high resolution maps that we have come to expect from google maps, I will rate it a 3. Once that ability is available, it will easily be rated a 5.
