People are jumping the gun here on the monthly fee thing

It's obvious that some people are completely jumping the gun here on calling the app a scam for supposedly requiring a hidden monthly fee. It simply isn't true. A subscription to the language learning website is completely OPTIONAL and separate from the app. The 7 days of free access apply ONLY to the website if you sign up for the free trial. Once you purchase the app, it's yours for life. There is NO TIME LIMIT. It's interesting that people are screaming about it'll stop working after 7 days when the App Store itself hasn't been out for that long yet. Come on, people. The least you can do is confirm things with the devloper before you leave bad reviews and damage the developer's reputation when what you're complaining about isn't even true. There's even a button in the app itself to contact the devs, for Pete's sake. A quick email to the devs could have easily resolved your concerns. Some of you obviously didn't even do that. To the people who jumped the gun, you should ashamed of yourselves for not checking things out first before making false accusations. Granted, things in the app and description could have been worded better to make it perfectly clear that the subscription is optional (as some of these reviews make it painfully clear that if you don't spell everything out exactly some people will just fill in the blanks on their own), but that's no excuse.

This app is packed with a lot of content. I made my way through the first 2 lessons and so far I really like it. The audio lessons are fun and captivating and the accompanying material, such as the vocabulary and grammar are not overwheming. I hope to see more Spanish courses like this in the AppStore. For $10 bucks I have absolutely no complaints considering the amount of learning material that's packed into this application. Nice job!
Horrible -- Beware of monthly recurring fee

The first big surprise with this app is that after purchase you find out you only have 7 free days, after that a monthly fee is required. Secondly, this is not beginner material. The approach is primarily dialogue based, with scenerios that will not be common for a non native speaker. For example: lesson one is a dialogue regarding getting your hair cut. The program does not offer any primer material for the absolute beginner such as: pronounciation of the alphabet, numbers, days of week or even an organize approach to learning pronouns. Buyer Beware

If this app were free i wouldn't ever recommend it. If you want to spend $10 on a Spanish program, go with the Pimsleur introductory set (I have no affiliation with them & have done their full CD set.) This Spanish app is between an airhead woman & a not so cool dude who waste more time trying (& failing) to be funny than doing any teaching. If you know no Spanish before you do these 25 lessons you won't know much more when you finsh. This is a come-on to try to sell you more of their procduct. FUGEDABOUDIT.
