  • Becoming worthless

    By NCShipwreck (Pcmac user)

Thankfully this is a free app... I don’t write many reviews but this app deserves one. I live out of NY but remain a loyal NY sports fan and honestly NY Post has the better sports section for covering the Rangers, Giants, Mets and Yankees. I used to be able to click and article and have it open almost immediately, certainly within 5 seconds. Since an more recent update I click an article and it takes 60-90 seconds to open and sometimes, it isn’t even the article I clicked on. Apps are supposed to be fast, who has time to waste when opening an article only to get presented with a different article. Then there are the resets... I don’t know what else to call them. I’ll be scrolling down the page of headlines in the sports section to suddenly be brought back to the main screen of the app. It didn’t crash, it just reset. If an update doesn’t resolve the load times, I’ll will improve them by using a different app.
  • Review of App

    By Black Linguini (Pcmac user)

I am a big fan of the NYPost. Your delivery of the physical paper is horrible so many days I need the app to read your paper. The only comment is that there are too many sports articles on the app. I would respectfully ask for more of what the Post is known for and less sports. For those of us over 30 years old who actually enjoy the hard copy with our coffee, you should strongly review your distribution of the paper. It is horrible. Thank you
  • Loading issues

    By ihateveryhotweather (Pcmac user)

I love reading the Post and go to it a few times each day, but for the past two weeks there have been loading issues. Either I cannot load the features such as, “Latest News” “Metro” etc. or it takes an extremely long time for the features to load. It has become so frustrating that I just close your app and read a different one. Kindly fix this since The Post is a very interesting well written and fun news app that I really enjoy looking forward to reading. Thank you This app is working so well now. Thank you very much. A job well done! .
  • Consistently Declining in Function

    By sarbs (Pcmac user)

App takes a long time to launch. Each story takes an extended time to load. Often, trying to open a story is best accomplished by opening it, closing it, and reopening the story (not the app). A user cannot listen to music while using the app, because the ads play audio content while trying to read a story and even while looking at the headlines pages. Another big problem, Cut/Copy is STILL limited to selecting an entire paragraph. This becomes a problem when trying to use the iPhone’s dictionary to define a word or to look it up on the web. The Post features many articles from Australia—understandably so considering its owners—but to an American, who isn’t familiar with a lot of the words or phrases that are commonly used “down under,” having to exit the app, begin typing the word/phrase into Safari, then jumping back to the article to verify spelling or finish a longer phrase, then back to Safari to learn what is being communicated, and finally back to the article is a horribly tedious process that is completely unnecessary. As many of these issues have been plaguing the app for over a year, I don’t think it will improve, but instead continue its decline.
