  • Classroom Teacher Outlook

By Kindergarten Teacher 12 (Pcmac user)

I use this app in my classroom to limit my four year olds iPad time to 15 min. Pros- easy to set, goes off in the time you set, disrupts play, keeps going off until password is set, if child attempts to hard close app it goes nuts and the alarm flips out. Cons- there's no reset that I can find. So if a child is done with iPad in five minutes, I can't reset it for the next child until the alarm goes off. If the app is hard closed and the crazy alarm goes off, you just have to wait it out until your prompted for a password (this took 15 mins once). Technically the child can play through notices and alarms: It works in the classroom because I can hear it and make the child give it up. However a child in a home could easily hang out in their room and play through the alarms.
  • Waste of money

    By Samson304 (Pcmac user)

I never write reviews, but I could not ignore this waste of an app. After reading previous reviews, I made sure to fix the notification settings so the app could function properly. No problem there. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to set a time limit. After managing to do that, the alarm immediately went off -- every 10 seconds. I hadn't yet even had a chance to handle the iPad over to my child. I tried turning the alarm off, but it did not work. I tried closing the app. The alarm still went off. I tried unlocking the alarm, but it would not allow me to enter the passcode it had just made me create. I had no choice but to delete the app. I would have been better just taking my money and flushing it down the toilet. At least that would have been less frustrating.
  • It works better than anything else I can find

    By Slick9000 (Pcmac user)

I would like it to lock down the iPad after the time until I unlock it. My son can keep playing but with an obnoxious alarm going off. It takes my (different than opening the iPad password) password to shut it off. No matter what he is doing the alarm continues and he can not mute it. So......... It's a good app and does the job I can hear the alarm then take it away.
  • It Works…

By The Other Milhouse (Pcmac user)

Make sure that you read through the instructions to set the app up properly before you use it. It works just like it says, but you may need to change some settings on how notifications are delivered. For all the people that give this app a poor review, I feel that they missed this step.
