  • App update disappointing -looks nice but major crashes playback issues

    By AlliSue42 (Pcmac user)

I’m a longtime user and lifetime the app fan—so being able to keep up with MSU games even after moving to the other side of the world is truly a gift! Football and basketball season have been marked most of my life by George Blaha and Will Tieman. The new update to the app is long-awaited, and it looks great and is somewhat easier to navigate than the older versions. But the functionality of playing back recordings of games, etc. is severely lacking. Inside the app, the fast forward/backward buttons don’t work and it’s hard to move to a different part of the game. If you try that, it will skip (like a scratched CD) for a while before it catches itself up to play again, no matter how strong your connection. The controls for play/pause, etc. don’t work from the lock screen either (and pulling out the headphones won’t auto-pause it either) which makes it clumsy when needing to pause quickly in the middle of a play. I thought I could fix this by downloading the game as a podcast, but alas it’s worse: every time I went back to listen to more, it started from the same spot, no matter how far I was in the game (when you’re at the 4th quarter, going back to a random play in the 2nd isn’t welcome!) and with the skipping issues when navigating to a different part of the game, it just is miserable!! So-SSN team, please fix this ASAP! This loyal fan living in Southern Africa is relying on you!
  • Good, When it works

    By fredmeds (Pcmac user)

This app used to be fairly reliable for its radio. Unfortunately, it typically works for a short period time, it shuts down, and often doesn’t recognize that the phone is connected to the Internet. Extraordinarily frustrating, for rare app that I pay for annually. A subscription app should work better. Most likely will not renew, After having been subscribed since it’s inception. Has not improved
  • Do not waste your money on this one

    By NglxyRobby (Pcmac user)

I bought this app because SSN streams available for free using a PC or MAC browser are not available on a mobile device. My mobile device is an iPad Air 2 running iOS 11.2.1. When verifiably connected to the internet via WiFi and/or LTE, this app displays a notice saying in effect that the iPad needs to be connected to the internet in order to receive a stream. Since this flaw in the app has been around for quite a while, the developer should refund the price of the app to all who believe they have been robbed of $3.99, including me.
  • Much better this year

    By remote sparty (Pcmac user)

I got this app for the 2016 football season and it was terrible. Hard to connect, would rewind, would only run for a few minutes and the stop. I decided to give it one more season. So far for 2017 it has been great. Crystal clear, doesn’t rewind nor does it randomly stop. Plus George Blaha is calling the games. Gotta love George!
