Flawed but worthwhile

Bought this app a few days before my exam just to get a little more practice in, and I'm glad I did, but I would only recommend using this once you're already somewhat familiar with the material. Mainly because, while they have added questions for CPT 4, they haven't removed a few CPT3 questions that are no longer relevant. So if something didn't sound familiar and I couldn't easily find it in the book, I'd assume it was either not in the new book or too trivial to study. Also, I definitely came across a couple of questions that were incorrect, and a few that were worded in such a weird was that the answer came down to semantics and not knowledge. BUT for the most part it was helpful to have such a large question bank to go through, and I LOVED the detailed explanations in (most of) the answers. The explanations were the most helpful part for me. This app really helped highlight the areas where I needed to do more studying and I'm sure it helped me pass. So, imperfect, and also clumsy to use as others have mentioned, but recommended.

I don't think this app was worth the money. I studied the 4th Ed. of the NASM textbook and it seems like this app did not take all the questions from it. Some questions were just wrong like how long one should wait to take a pulse after a YMCA step test. One question was only 3 words and not even a question. If you take all the questions at once in test mode, and answer all them correctly after a few tries, you'll not be able to use test mode again. I emailed support about it and they promptly responded that they will have an update soon, but that was in June and I already passed my exam so it makes no difference now. This app,by no stretch of the imagination is necessary to pass the exam, but some may find it helpful.
Great Review App for NASM however...

Passed the NASM Exam earlier this afternoon on the 1st Attempt!! Almost half the questions on here were on the Exam with the exact wording.. However what is missing here are questions on Upper and Lower Crossed Syndrome, Professionalism and Confidentiality, and number of sets/reps you should perform in accordance with the Stabilization, Strength, Power Exercises, etc.. The other half of the Questions came from the 4th Edition Textbook and a few from the NASM Practice Exam that you get from purchasing a study package! The Actual Exam I took today was a lot harder than the Practice Exam and the questions from this Review App, as they really try to confuse you on some of the questions, plus a few questions where you have to choose between two correct answers!! As a study tip, do not solely use this App as your primary study aid for the NASM Exam. You will need to really thoroughly study the 4th Edition Textbook !! The majority of the questions on the Actual Exam are based on Underactive and Overactive muscles...
Great study guide

This app is well worth the money. Like several other reviewers have said this app is based off of the 3rd edition instead of the 4th edition but some of the questions are still the same. It also helps you prepare for the type of questions that will be on the exam. If you study this app, the online nasm practice guide and look at crossed syndromes you will be set.
