It's good for basic reference. Though not an encyclopedia of cosmetic chemicals but it's good for a quick reference or general/popular chemicals.
Just bought app and doesn't work

I rarely buy apps for myself but this one would be perfect for my education as an esthetician. BUT it won't open. It just bounces back. I'm not going to delete in hopes they fix the problem with an upgrade. If it doesn't work soon I'll be forced to delete to save room on my iPod for things that do work. Very disappointed!
Glitchy, not user friendly

For spending $2.99 on this app I am very very disappointed. The Internet does a much better job. The app is completely glitchy and doesn't work correctly. I am upset my $3 just went down the toilet. I am a professional makeup artist for television and I was really looking forward to utilizing this app.
JUST WHAT I WANTED

Great to know that with all the information on the back of bottles or whatever that now there is an app for that. What the hell is MEA? Well if you are a hairstylist like I am, or you have seen Beth Minardi, you know damn well what it is, but what about the rest of you. This is such a great tool, now I can tell my Guests EXACTLY what is in the products that I am telling them to buy. The downfall? Its only available for iPAD and NOT the ever so convenient iPhone! WTH! I Need this in my life! So I am rating it on pure face value, as I have no idea how good it actually is, but rather how practical is uses can be once I do own it.
