Sure, it works, insofar as it will play G D A E for you to match, but you have to tap the phone each time to get a note. As anyone who has ever tuned anything knows, you need several hits. So, you have to move your pick hand to your phone and back constantly, which is a ridiculous ergonomic.
Thanks for trying, but no thanks. Useless.
