Software Features and Description

1. You can easily and automatically import measurements like blood pressure, weight, glucose and much more from the Health app into My Medical's Test Results section.

2. Areas for emergency contacts, health insurance, doctors' contact information, and other data that are not strictly part of a traditional personal health record (PHR) are all available.

3. What about photographs, labwork, x-rays and other important documents that can't be typed directly in? My Medical devotes an entire area to extra files that can be attached to your record.

4. In fact, My Medical does not connect to the Internet at all and doesn't send out any private or diagnostic information, making it as secure as possible.

5. But it's nice to have some help, which is why the app offers autocompletion and autosuggestion for a wealth of medical jargon, including prescription drug names; vaccinations; common afflictions; life support options; laboratory units; and much more.

6. My Medical provides a range of common test result templates for you to track test results.

7. It's the perfect replacement for unreliable paper records or various electronic systems that hold bits and pieces of your medical history.

  • Repeat from Ipad review - very good

    By JCCC1 (Pcmac user)

I bought this app to put all this app info in a single place, and which I could easily share with medical professionals. This app does all that. Not surprisingly, the actual data entry is a pain, but that has nothing to do with the app. Finding all those pill bottles, blood tests, etc is necessary for this to work properly. (You can enter data from your address book effortlessly) But once the data is in, sharing and/or updating becomes easy. This is a smart app, in that it anticipates from already entered data what you may need when updating. I bought the iPad app to enter and keep the data up to date, and the iPhone app for ease of use and portability when visiting the doctor. Yes, you need to buy each. But syncing is easy. Once you're at a medical office, if you wold rather not narrate a record, you can just email it straight from the app to the medical office. In a couple of seconds, they have your info. BTW, support is great. I had a problem - turns out it was a user issue, not the app - and I had a support email back in a few hours with the correct solution. 5 stars. Recommended. Update: what happened to syncing? This has become useless without the ability to keep all the devices sync'd.
  • App that's actually useful

    By Donald Ducks1999 (Pcmac user)

Over the past few days I was looking for a Medical app that would include medications, prescriptions, doctors, health information and be able to sync from iPad to iPhone and vice verses. Not to mention that I did not want the app information "stored" on someone else's server. Tired of hearing about yackey yay being broken in and personal information stolen. I wanted an app that was less than a year old. Well this one was made in Dec 2015, but the things this app can do. It's a journal and it's a pain to enter all the information required. But once everything is updated you only have to sit back and have your Medical history at your finger tips. Just think if you get a new doctor or want a second opinion all you have to do is pull your phone out.... Warning: IF YOU entered it wrong you only have yourself to blame.
  • Crying tears at lost data

    By Leeneyw (Pcmac user)

I've used this app for several years and it has been invaluable through all of the app family's medical issues. It was working fine up until the last upgrade on the app phone. Now all of our medical files including notes from doctor visits are gone. Since the iCloud back up option was removed, I had not established an alternate way to back up the app files so all of the info is lost--if it was still on the app phone it would have loaded right? I am so incredibly mad at the creative tech genius who caused this failure. Yes, I should have taken more time to figure out a good way to back up the info (it used to update the app Mac version but stopped when the iCloud connection ended), but given that I'm not the only one experiencing this lost, I am blaming the tech people. So this app gets one star for losing all the app valuable and irreplaceable family medical files. Oh, yes, and I too have not heard word one from the app maker regarding the app recent complaint. I'm starting the app hunt for a replacement today.
  • Won’t archive

    By Alicat_0211 (Pcmac user)

I’ve been using this for years and it’s been very handy to have with a 6 person family. Occasionally, it has suddenly lost data and I’ve thankfully had it archived in the app email. Lately though it stopped allowing me to archive. The app will crash and close if i try. It also won’t allow me to use Dropbox, saying it’s outdated. On top of that, lost some data recently for some reason. Not sure what’s going on, but I can’t successfully save/backup years of data. I’ve also a tried reaching customer service for weeks and no answer.
