Rules are slightly different...

Than that on which I was raised (Aces must be played, Aces and deuces can’t be wild), but it’s close enough. Previous reviewers are right in that you can tell early on who is going to win. Those long streaks just don’t happen that frequently in the real world. It drives me nuts when the opponent blocks itself, doesn’t play a stack card (plays the same from a hold pile), or plays a bunch of unrelated cards before moving a stack card. I see no difference in play between hard (free) and Spiteful (not free). Finally, the game locks up a lot. Usually on the ads. I have to hard close the app for it to run again and it usually requires I leave it alone for several minutes before reopening. All that being said, I still play it daily, but more like solitaire than competitive. I guess I want it to be more challenging and less predictable.
Okay game. Annoying app

I like the game but the LONG video ads you have to watch each time you play are dreadfully annoying. Some go on and on. Others have a hard to find, almost camouflaged “x” you must click on when you’re done so that you end up clicking elsewhere on the screen and going to the ad’s website. If you stop to open up another app or your phone rings in the middle of a game, you sometimes have to watch another video before you can resume playing. I get that this is the free version and developers need to earn money, but the length of these videos is excessive. And while I would gladly buy the more difficult paid version if it didn’t have ads, the App Store says it too has in-app purchases. I’m going to go find a different app for this game. I can’t stand the ads here anymore.
Great Game

I have been a skipbo (actual cards) player for years but somehow missed ever seeing this game. Don't understand my opponent playing out of his hand and discard pile before removing the one on his play pile. Not a big deal, I still win half of the time. Ads... really folks... complaining about 20 second ads? I think instant gratification is becoming a social disease. You get the game for free, they have to make money somehow since you didn't pay for it. Sounds like you whiners are complaining about getting something you didn't pay for. It's a great fun game. All in all, this game gets high marks from me!

I love this game and play it every day. I would give it a five star except for the ads. They are ridiculous. No other game I play has so many ads so often. I would pay to have the ads are removed except other reviewers have said they paid and it was worse. They said you still get the ads and the game is totally screwed up. If you want my money, you're going to have to improve the game once the ads are removed. Update: the ads have improved. Now, 5 star!
