  • Upgrade-less

    By Monty5280 (Pcmac user)

Nice app, good content, but it hasn’t been updated in a couple years. Does not fill the screen of the XS Max. Probably will only fill the screen of a 7 at best. (That’s my guess, not a fact) The look of the app is outdated, hence the lack of updates. Good content, could be displayed much better and incorporate the new functions of new models.
  • Excellent

    By Chipdesmid (Pcmac user)

Plenty of information on any country. The rotating globe and being allowed to choose a country is a nice aspect of this wonderful app. Truly a must have app.
  • New update horrible, I regret updating

    By xgdfaith (Pcmac user)

The new update wiped all my saves and history, didn't even warn that it would do that, and I lost valueable info I was using for a project. I want the old handy wiki back, that was a 5 star app now I want to delete & go with another wiki app instead. What a shame, the handy wiki was easy to use & store searches for offline use, with a nice interface, now I give it 1 star & will be deleted unless updated back to handy wiki. What a loss of learning for others. After update on 5/13 I have changed my rateing to a 5 star. I am very happy that I didn't delete app or I would have lost all my saves. Not the same as Handy Wiki but is a major improvement from the last update. I advise everyone to update & you will be suprised. Worth the wait, thank you Devs for hearing our pleas for an upgrade. Please don't downgrade again, tired of wasting money on the other wiki apps when this is the one I really wanted.
  • Strip-mining features is a bad idea

    By Zepfhyr (Pcmac user)

I understand the desire to reinvent a product for the masses, but stripping out the majority of your features and promising to add them back in once they've been updated to mesh with the new interface is a sure-fire way to encourage people to switch apps. For starters, I didn't even understand why I suddenly had a new app icon and name on my device until after I loaded it up to see what it was. Worse still, I loaded up a test page to give it a whirl (I chose Ankh for this test) and after the page loaded, a sheet slid into view with a close button in the corner that loaded up a tiny little thumbnail image of an ankh (something that I assume is located in the article, but certainly didn't need to be opened when I first load the article or unless I click on the appropriate image). If this app gets updated, I'll be glad to reconsider my review, but as it stands it is worse than downloading the free versions of alternative Wikipedia apps.
