  • Essential for graphic designers

    By Melissa Von (Pcmac user)

I’m a graphic designer for a marketing agency and I would be lost without this app. I think working with this app and the physical copies is great for project workflow and client meetings. It’s made productivity so much better for me. It’s super easy to scroll through quickly and get the colors you’re looking for and even screenshot for quick reference later. I also do character design for a side hobby and this app works great when referencing colors for procreate when I work on my iPad. The yearly subscription is worth it if you are in any design field for a profession. I would go with the month to month subscription if you aren’t sure how often you will be using it or you can have a free week trial to get a better feel for the program itself. Having all the colors at my fingertips is such a great service the app put out.
  • What happened?

    By LittleRae (Pcmac user)

I paid $10 for the full app when I started graphic design classes and now I have to pay for a sub? Ugh... the UI design is better though... *edit* I was told by the developer I could restore my purchase and it would be fine. 🎉 thank goodness because it’s so much easier than carrying the deck around with me!
  • Excellent!

I’ve found a purpose for this app that is not what it was intended to be used for, at least it’s not what I used to use the app 4 color process for. That being said it’s definitely 5 stars. Creating pallets from my own photos and images and then using those pallets as backgrounds for a new series I’m working on. I suppose if I was paying for access i might have something to complain about, but until that happens I’m good with it as is.
  • Incomplete and overpriced

    By Petrovian (Pcmac user)

The app seems to include every single the app collection... except the one I need (Plastic Standard Chips). Super frustrating! And I don't understand why I can only search by color name or number. If I don't know the designation of the color I am looking for, I can't enter it into a search! And entering in a generic name gives hundreds of results (many completely unrelated!). It's nearly impossible to know if I'm getting the closest match. The RGB values are never the same collection to collection, even for the same number. I have to go to each individual collection, look for a close visual match, and then check the RGB values. Not very efficient or helpful. The search function should allow RGB input so the closest match can easily be found. Overall, the app is somewhat difficult to navigate. I seem to have to tap way too many times to get to the information I want. And, for me, geared too much towards design. I need something more technical. So, not worth the money.
