Doesn't Work: "Sorry, no network connection available."

I listen endlessly to Radio Im Internet at home and am thrilled at the prospect of now listening on-the-go via my iPad. Alas, all I ever get is "Sorry, no network connection available." -- even when connected via wifi-N as I am, now.
I can't find any help text that might assist in diagnosis. I have to say this app's a non-starter, for now.
2016-12-26 Update: Re-try produces "app must download update to improve compatibility" and then fails (again) to play anything at all on my iPad Mini 4 iOS version 10.0.2.
Double-Shame, as TuneIn Radio app that previously provided access to radio-Im-Internet.de now advises that this station is not available.
