What is Noise Control?

Noise Control is an iPhone app that automatically shushes people by saying "SHHH..." when the ambient sound level exceeds the user-specified noise limit for a certain amount of time. Noise Control functions

1) Cross-Cultural: "Shhhhhh.... " is a cross-cultural way of saying Shut Up!

2) Ambient Sound Level Monitoring: The app uses the built-in mic of the iPhone to monitor ambient sound level.

3) User Specified Noise Limit: The user can set the sound level limit which helps "Noise Control" to decide when to shush.

4) Dynamic Sound Level Meter: Helps the user visually monitor the environment sound level and determine the "Noise Limit" accordingly.

5) Instant Shush Button: The user can tap on the "Loud Speaker" figure and "Noise Control" will shush as soon as it can.

I am using this as a classroom management tool in my middle school classroom. My students have responded positively to this app. I recommend plugging your phone into a pair of computer speakers because the warning sound is too low on the phone speaker.

I click on the app and it automatically shuts down. I've tried deleting the app and re-downloading, updating my phone, and restarting my phone. Never has worked in the least. There is a free app called the app down that works perfect.

I read other reviews and worried, but I NEEDED to try. Works GREAT for me! Maybe it was the new version? Maybe it's the new 3.1 OS update? I don't care, it works!
