  • The app's improvements make it well worth the money and best in class

    By Eastern One (Pcmac user)

I would certainly not recommend this application in its current iteration. It does little more than open google maps and use its search field. A few improvements could make this app much more useful. Instead of launching Google Maps, the developers could use the Google Maps integration API provided by Apple, and not have you go back to the application if you want a different type of cuisine. The application could also provide its own descriptions of the restaurants it finds and maybe allow its users to review the restaurants. In its current iteration, it only uses the name of the restaurant to classify it. I mean, when I search for Italian restaurants, it shows me Pizza Hut. While pizza was originally Italian, it isn't the place anyone would go for authentic Italian food. When I look for Indian restaurants it also brings up native american food and mexican restaurants. The favorites feature is one thing that would have given it an advantage over Google Maps is the favorites feature, if it worked correctly. Because you can't do anything with a specific restaurant, because it only shows the restaurants in Google Maps and not the app itself, you cannot mark a restaurant as a favorite. You can only mark entire categories, like Fast food, which would be entirely useless. Update: The app has made improvements that make it the best in class in its category.
  • Where to eat?

    By I'mOutside (Pcmac user)

Well, this app does provide some minimal (extremely) information on the app you could possibly eat. No information on if you would want to eat at any of the suggested spots. So if you are a "high risk" gambler, and wouldn't mind possibly getting so truly awful "food" roll the dice, this app might work for you. If you wish to assure the chance of getting something decent to eat, it is useless.
  • Really buggy and useless app

    By ajr432 (Pcmac user)

Maybe in some places it works but in New Zealand it's completely useless. Suggesting a good dinner option in Africa on one search. Constant crashes when trying to write reviews for restaurants and it doesn't have a feedback option under settings to receive info. Waste of money. 5s v10.1.2
  • Buggy

    By klineyj (Pcmac user)

This app crashes constantly and isn't updated for any of the new display sizes. Don't buy, it's a waste of money.
