If you want to install and use the LinkedIn: Network & Job Search app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type LinkedIn: Network & Job Search in the search bar and press Search. Click on LinkedIn: Network & Job Search application icon. A window of LinkedIn: Network & Job Search on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Non professional operating system for an app based on professionalism

I had created and maintained a linkedin account for years, however unfortunately created my account with an email address that I can no longer access. I have tried for, I kid you not, months, to re set my email so I can maintain the hundreds of connections I’ve made with this app in the past. Not only does the service crash every single time I try providing my drivers license to reset the email account, but when I finally found an email to contact linkedin directly about the problem, I have yet to receive a response. And as today when I decided to bite the bullet and create a new account, the app presents to me an “error” once again and I am unable to create a new account. I am horribly disappointed at the lack of customer support and frankly find it quite ironic that a site would hinge its function on professionalism yet not provide a customer support number to call and speak to a person about issues such as mine. I am a recent graduate in a location where my field is flooded, so any app or networking site is crucial for me. Low and behold, Linkedin seems bent on skirting around issues related to their app and the customers suffering because of it. Truly disappointed.
  • Serious VoiceOver accessibility problems

I am a blind person using the screen reader voiceover for iOS and I am having some serious VoiceOver accessibility problems. For one thing, in the new version, when I double tap on my Contacts, the app crashes every time. Secondly, when I am browsing through my people you may know section, the app get slower and slower and slower the longer eyebrows. Thirdly, if you were using voiceover, there is no option to remove someone from your people you may know list so that you do not see them anymore. The accessibility problems with this app used to be somewhat minimal. I am really looking forward to seeing this app fixed and using LinkedIn again. It is one of my favorite social networking platforms. I apologize if other people are bored by this review, but LinkedIn also does not have any where in the app or on the app support page to provide feedback about the app. I would also be kind of nice if developer of LinkedIn provided details about its updates in its release notes, but many App developers don’t do this. It’s just a pet peeve.
  • Needs improvement

Overall LinkedIn is great. I love that it is a sleek and easy to use platform for conducting multiple job searches and networking. However, my biggest issue is the “easy apply” button. It would be terrific if LinkedIn set standards for which jobs employers could post under this category. As a recent graduate I am applying to dozens of jobs per month and frequent the easy apply setting—only to find that the job I just clicked on requires a cover letter, work sample, and several other documents in the application. What’s easy about that? I am no stranger to writing cover letters or sharing my work with a company that I would truly love to work for, but once in a while I am just exploring opportunities and I don’t have a generic cover letter to send to every employer who falsely lists their vacancy as “easy apply” to get more views. Please provide feedback on how your team is working to fix this.
  • Chronological content feed - second attempt.

LinkedIn... I love your platform. I have already posted a comment on the lack of a sort by “recent” function on for iOS. When I’m on my phone, the work around is to go to your mobile site, then request the desktop site, then select “sort by: recent”. The most recent update you just pushed out now has “lives” or something that feels like a clone of Instagram/YouTube/Snapchat/Facebook, etc. I do not subscribe to these platforms because I believe LinkedIn is the only social media platform of any substance. There is quality content and networking happening everyday. Why did your newest update add a cookie-cutter “lives” function and not a simple “sort by:recent” function. Why am I seeing 3 week old posts with recent posts scattered about. Totally ridiculous... The one platform I thought was doing a service to a community of professional people is slowly becoming just another social media platform.
