Install Open-LMS app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Open-LMS on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Open-LMS"
- The search will reveal the Open-LMS app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Open-LMS is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Open-LMS.
- Now enjoy Open-LMS on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Open-LMS Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use Open-LMS,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Open-LMS" » then Click "Install".
- Open-LMS will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Clunky & Disappointing

I was surprised at how much I have disliked this app. I now don’t see any point in using it unless I couldn’t access Moodle on my browser or something. First, it is frustratingly slow and is not intuitive. Second, there overall appearance and interface is simply not appealing. The best way to sum it up is that I feel like I’m using a beta version of an app that someone gave up on 6 years ago.
