  • Good App but needs some more tweeks

    By firedancer116 (Pcmac user)

So far seems like a good app. It does need some tweeks to it. When I check congested it thinks I have symptoms of covid. I have seasonal Allergies and this time of the year is crazy for me. It would be nice to see something to Differentiate between the two. I am a first responder (firefighter/ paramedic) and I have been near positive covid-19 patients and patients experiencing covid-19 symptoms but those patients have not been tested to confirm because they are self quarantine. I wear ALL of the recommended PPE per the CDC, our IL Department of Public Health, and EMS system recommendations. Therefore, first responders, nurses, doctors, etc. are according to CDC and IDPH, Low Risk. Again, it would be nice to see that portion of the questioning tweaked better to differentiate between people staying at home and first responders and essential workers. Keep up the good work and we’ll all get through this. The data is good to have as long as it is true and not misleading or false claims and twisted. Thank you! Stay safe, stay healthy and stay home if you do not need to go out.
  • Tenses matter

    By _ana8anana_ (Pcmac user)

I have been checking in constantly for the sake of research and to make sure that I do my part in helping. The app itself is great - short sweet and to the point. My only feedback is that the way the questions are written may skew the data. Example: “have you been exposed to someone with Covid-19?” If you answer “yes” the next question asks you to enter the date they tested positive- all good up to this point. The next question “in response to your exposure, are you in complete in home quarantine?” This is were tenses matter, the date that someone could have been exposed could of been months out at this point. So technically if you answer “no” when you’re answering the question (even though you may have quarantined after exposure) is inaccurate and may not be helpful. I hope my feedback is helpful. I appreciate the team behind this, tracking and logging all this information is no small feat.
  • Not nearly as good as it could be

    By BigDogdgs22 (Pcmac user)

When the app launched it was a critical item needed and I could see where getting it out vs. making it as good as it could be was far greater importance. With that said and having seen different content come across it, I know there are pieces needed not in place. Some of the questions are too open ended to be accurate like today’s have you been tested for and several options. I put no because a timeline was not given, did you want in the last 24hrs, week, month, 6 months? The answer would vary greatly! Then when the how do you feel question gets answered not good, it basically ends there, it would be far more proactive for the app to ask more questions and then direct appropriate actions based on the answers vs. just moving on with a so sorry you feel badly as it does when I answered that way once. I’m sure I could go on but those are two key things that could be improved
  • HOW I FEEL

    By iwillmissyousummer (Pcmac user)

I think this is awesome your doing this! Thank you xo I have to say how I feel, but mentally. I’m afraid to go anywhere, and when I do it’s to the store only. I pray for the world, for the people who save lives, and who do for the people in general...mail, Dr, Nurse’s etc. I also pray I don’t ever get this, if I do...I know it will kill me. I have had 12 or 13 surgeries since October, 2017. I’m ok, but I just know I wouldn’t make it. I pray all the time as I’m afraid for my kids who are grown and living out of state. Mom can’t protect them! If anything would happen to my parents, kids etc...I’m told i wouldn’t be able to see them..this scares me so much! I pray to God that a vaccine is for this SOON! My life and how I think and live isn’t even normal anymore..I find myself becoming sad!! I just don’t understand why we are going thru this, it’s like a dream. Please, someone out there find a cure, a vaccine! I’m tired, I don’t sleep, I’m sad a lot, I just want to have life be ok again!! Please God, help us all, and help us to always make the right decisions. Amen Stay well who ever reads this! Sincerely Mary~
