Install Kestrel LiNK app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Kestrel LiNK on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Kestrel LiNK"
- The search will reveal the Kestrel LiNK app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Kestrel LiNK is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Kestrel LiNK.
- Now enjoy Kestrel LiNK on PC.

- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use Kestrel LiNK,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Kestrel LiNK" » then Click "Install".
- Kestrel LiNK will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Abysmal

I am stunned at how poorly this app functions. Using a Drop device is almost useless. Clunky, won’t link/pair, temperamental when it does link with a drop. Some functions won’t work and it freezes the app or closes the app. This is unacceptable!! What a waste don’t buy any the app device that need this app. The drops are pretty much worthless unless they fix this apps. C’mon the app!!!

just got my the app D3 (the one that gives WBGT reading) and downloaded the app. App seems to work perfectly fine. Connects quickly from a fair distance, gives me all the data… easy peasy. Really like these devices. Pretty amazing tech. I got it to monitor conditions where I live after giving myself a case of heat exhaustion working in my yard in the evening when it was 95F with 80% humidity. This device lets me know when it’s a good idea to skip the yard work.

Love this app. Easy to navigate and track fire weather. I like being able to share the weather logged easily with the other fire crews.

Clunky

Clunky and not intuitive. The “legacy” version is much better, particularly for tracking changes in temperature over time.
