  • Worthless

When they say “some images may be simulated” they mean Live View. Apparently that major feature—what I bought the camera for—doesn’t actually exist yet. I can live with the disconnection issue; it reconnects quickly. But a camera that’s dependent on a feature that IT DOESN’T HAVE? If I wanted something I have to look through to take a picture, I’ve got a DSLR for that. If I wanted something smaller that still needs looking at, I have my phone for that. I seriously do not understand who the customer base for this is—people with smartphones who want to keep their phones in their pockets and carry a second device with none of the capabilities of the phone cameras that they necessarily have? I don’t think those people exist. I am not a happy puppy. Thankfully, I bought this retail, because it’s going back tonight. Update: Returned the camera. Deleted the app.

I’m so disappointed. My wife and I were so excited to get these cameras only to find the app completely useless and dysfunctional. I suppose we can remove the SD card from the camera and get access to the pictures on our desktop computer but that is not what we wanted or how the camera was advertised. I would understand a startup company having issues like this, but not the app. Please PLEASE fix this app and give us the product we paid for!
  • Terrible implementation

The app is supposed to be the viewfinder and the photo/video viewer of the camera. You can can do NONE of both. So not only you have no idea how you are framing but then you need to remove the SD card every single time you want to see what you have shot. I'm sure the app os going to fix it eventually but talking about a rushed Indiegogo campaign and releasing something that is not ready. So my recommendation is stay away from any the app crowdfunding projects. They execute poorly.
  • Good concept, poor execution

    By pet5248 (Pcmac user)

I was an early supporter on Indigo and was hoping this would be a worthy replacement for my Polaroid Cube+, which I loved. Sadly Polaroid has not upgraded the iOS software. So far, I am disappointed. Hopefully the mini cam app is the problem and not the hardware. The app is slow to connect, slow to use, clunky, not intuitive and constantly disconnects from the camera. The app is definitely not ready for prime time. Not impressed with the photos so far. The button is very hard to push and makes it hard to hold the camera steady. I’m guessing anti-shake is not built in. I’ll dig out an adapter and look at the pictures on my MacBook. One tremendous opportunity missed, if feasible, was using Apple Watch as a viewer/shutter.
