The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because you have to play so many games just to get enough money to design 1 thing. I downloaded this because I like designing things and in the beginning I could play 1 game and have enough money to design several things but now the prices of each item are really high and you have to play 3-5 games just to design one item within the house if you pass the level. The games need to be worth more money so you can design more items in between games and I think the dollar amount needs to be significantly higher if you have 5 or more moves left when you finish the game. Or have fewer games or none at all and allow us to design everything without having to play a game or have other ways we can make money to be able to design without spending a ton of real money. When my lives run out I don’t spend money to buy more lives so adding unlimited lives would work too. Ideally, get rid of games and have other ways we can earn or get money to design or just let us design without money or have fewer games or let the games be worth more money when we win so we can design more and give more money if you beat the level with 5 or more moves left. I really love this when I get to design and love the options it gives me and love what the finish product looks like but I just want to design more without having to play a ton of games or spend my own money.

I highly enjoy playing this game, but my only problem is it’s a money pit. I love how realistic the game is, I love the designing options and everything else. What I don’t enjoy is having to pay $2.99 to use 600 diamonds. I don’t like that. and you would think you’d be able to use that piggy bank to save and continue using, that’s what I had thought so I was like why not it’s only $2.99, come to find out that you don’t really get to save the diamonds. I am very good whenever it comes to puzzles, but some of these puzzles are impossible to get pass and then having the 5 lives sometimes it takes 10 lives to get through one puzzle. It seems like you don’t get a lot of cash for completely a puzzle anyhow. At first things weren’t that expensive and a few puzzles could get me a few things. Now it’s like I have to do 5-6 puzzles to be able to design one thing. Spending hours on puzzles to spend 30 seconds picking one item to design. It’s becoming quite frustrating. I would love to refer more people to this game, because of the graphics and quality, but it’s a money pit and quite frustrating.

To start, the app Brothers is one of my favorite shows so I was excited to see they had a home design game. When I looked at the screenshots of the game in the App Store it did not show any pictures of puzzles so I was THRILLED and downloaded it without reading the description. ...For an app based on a home designing series, this game is majority puzzle-solving. Puzzles that you will always lose by one move. I play several puzzle games like this before but never one that offers no boosters or assistance of any sorts or that requires so much "payment" for five more moves. A for effort, D for follow through. The designs are beautiful and I appreciate that you don't have to pay to select another design option after you've already set one. Putting the rooms together is so much fun but truly the only part of the game I enjoy. I hope in a few updates they make the levels easier or I will probably wind up removing the game. I want to enjoy myself when I get home from work with a game like this instead of getting frustrated after losing five lives in a row and not having another shot for 20 minutes. On one hand, I would understand if this is the game developers' way of slowing us down while they create more levels, but I would rather move through the levels at a faster rate and have to patiently wait for an update. I am glad I came to look at the rest of the reviews on this game because it appears this is the majority opinion. Maybe hear us out?

My sister and I both have this game and the home design makeover made by the same developer. Neither one of her games has ever had an ad in it, both my games have an ad every time I lose. The ads are especially annoying when you have unlimited lives and have to waste your time watching ads or shutting down the game over and over again if you want to skip them. For many months we have asked the support/developers about it and they always comeback with some generic answer about how they are testing different features on different people’s games. On the home design makeover the stars she collects on DIY events are completely different than mine. Her stars are connected to the colored pieces, while my stars replace the colored piece. I’ll get 0-4 stars a level and she’ll average about 25-30. She doesn’t have the ability to watch an ad for 2 extra moves on either game and I do on both of mine. It’s annoying that they cannot just make gameplay consistent for all players. It seems unfair to give people certain advantages like the two extra moves and not allow others that chance. I would give both home design and this game zero stars if I could because the ads drive me crazy especially when I know some players do not have to put up with them.
