The Player + ReelSteady app offers easy-to-use tools for professionals, including Reframe for transforming 360 footage into cinematic shots, ReelSteady for world-class stabilization, and batch export for saving time and energy. The app also supports a variety of resolutions and codecs, and allows for frame grabbing in full resolution, horizon leveling control, world lock control, freeze frame, and precision trimming.

- The app supports a range of resolutions (5.6K, 4K, custom) and codecs (HEVC, H.264, Apple ProRes), and allows for frame grabbing in full resolution. Files can export only at the same or lower recorded resolution.
- ReelSteady stabilization is compatible with HERO11, HERO10, HERO9, HERO8, HERO7, HERO6, HERO2018, HERO5 Session, and HERO5 cameras. Most video modes are supported for HERO11, HERO10, HERO9, and HERO8 cameras, while limited video modes are supported for HERO7, HERO6, HERO2018, HERO5 Session, and HERO5 cameras if EIS and HyperSmooth are OFF during capture. Tripod mode in HERO11 & HERO10 is not supported, and video not initially captured in a video mode is not supported (e.g., TimeWarp and Time Lapse). ReelSteady is not available for 360 content, and lens correction functionality is only available with the ReelSteady in-app purchase.

- Video slightly lags the audio, which is annoying
- No rewind/fast forward feature, requiring users to repeatedly drag the timeline for long segments
- Lack of continuous rotation feature while playing
