What is Ready Jet Go! Space Scouts? The Ready Jet Go! Space Scouts app is a STEM-focused game designed for early elementary school kids. The app offers five unique games that focus on engineering and science inquiry, allowing kids to design and engineer rovers on the Moon, build a mission controller, and guide a spaceship through the solar system. The app also offers over 100 levels of gameplay, closed captions for young readers and the hearing impaired, and the ability to play offline. Kids can earn badges that encourage unique problem-solving, curiosity, and helping their community.
1. The Ready Jet Go! Space Scouts app is part of PBS KIDS’ ongoing commitment to helping kids build the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.
2. The Ready Jet Go! Space Scouts app is based on the PBS KIDS series Ready, Jet, Go! produced by Wind Dancer and designed to extend the series’ STEM curriculum.
3. Ready Jet Go! Space Scouts offers badges that reward kids for not just completing games, but for how they played the games.
4. Ready Jet Go! Space Scouts app was created as part of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and PBS Ready To Learn Initiative with funding from the U.S Department of Education.
5. Kids will become the Ultimate Space Scout by designing, building and engineering with 5 STEM focused games and badges.
6. PBS KIDS, the number one educational media brand for kids, offers all children the opportunity to explore new ideas and new worlds through television and digital media, as well as community-based programs.
7. Across all media platforms, PBS KIDS is committed to creating a safe and secure environment for children and families and being transparent about what information is collected from users.
8. Earn the Designing Differently badge by solving a problem in a unique way, or earn the Curiosity badge by using the magnifying glass to inspect an object.
