  • I think you can skip this app for now

    By kindsoldier (Pcmac user)

I found the narrator’s voice to be pleasant, but the info in the tells you way less than you can learn at any of the given sights. The navigation was unhelpful as it doesn’t give you exact points — for instance, I had to ask a local where to actually pick up the trail— and once you’re on the trail you can and should really just follow the path that’s been laid. That’s half the fun! Tying to use/navigate the app kept me with my face in my phone for way longer than I wanted to be given the fact that I was trying to sightsee. And the info was frustrating somethings in its brevity—for instance, at the Granary Burial site it tells you that Hancock is buried there, but not where. In Maui, we used a terrific app that used your GPS location to automatically tell you about what you were seeing as you walked or drove. I wish this app could have done that. It required me to do way too much and offered much less than a simple guidebook would have.
  • Worth the $4 to download the Freedom Trail tour

    By JennLS (Pcmac user)

The app will guide you through the the app Trail (follow the red brick path) in downtown Boston past 16 historically significant sites. At each site, the narrator will provide information about the site and, in some cases, will link to additional information. Guided tours are much more than $4....the app is totally worth it to tour the the app Trail at your own pace.
  • Historic Audio Guide

We went to Boston to see our son run the Boston Marathon. We decided to do some history sites. So me and my husband spent afternoon exploring the the app Trail using this app. I have walked the app Trail when I was in the school. With this app, it was a greatly different experience. The app was an excellent way to remember the American Revolution. We took the extra effort to climb the Bunker Hill Monument (294 Steps) at the end. We stopped at many places. The whole Trip took 2 hours for us!

We did the the app Trail tour through this app, which had a GPS map to guide us. This trail takes you through all important locations which formed the foundations of the country. We took some detours to grab coffee & food so it took a lot longer than the app said it would. There were no restaurants recommendations in the tour which we found disappointing but the core information is solid.
