1. The app uses AR technology in your phone to measure the distance from the tree and the angle to the top of the tree to get an estimate of its height.

2. Go close to the trunk of a tree (2-3 feet) and move the camera in order for the device to locate the tree.

3. In order to get the best results, hold the camera in an upright position when you walk away from the tree.

4. Now you could measure the height of a tree with high accuracy.

5. Try to stand some distance from the tree and have a good view of the top of the tree.

6. Aim at the tree and press mark.

7. Aim at the base of the tree.

8. You could also measure buildings, poles, towers and bridges.

9. Don´t point the camera to the ground.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Arboreal"
The search will reveal the Arboreal - Tree app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Arboreal is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Arboreal.
Now enjoy Arboreal on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Arboreal,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Arboreal" » then Click "Install".
- Arboreal - Tree will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

The app gives you a fairly accurate estimate of the tree’s height. An Ash tree in my front yard has been infested with the Emerald Ash Borer or Beetle. I was just curious as to the overall height for removal purposes. For me, this could be a one time use of the app.
