1. iTIVA is a pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic simulation application that estimates the plasma concentration of drugs based on mathematical models and simulates the behavior of a TCI (Target Controlled Infusion) pump, calculating an infusion scheme to reach and maintain a set target concentration, either in plasma or effect site.

2. These schemes can be implemented in volumetric infusion pumps and be guided using pharmacokinetic models, to make "manual TCI" or target guided infusions.

3. This app also calculates the end-tidal (Et) concentration for a set MAC age for Isoflurane, Sevoflurane, and Desflurane, using the Mapleson equation.
