  • Good game. Ads tedious but worth ten minutes of play

    By CLPeek (Pcmac user)

Update. All seems fixed except for wasting time on watching ads with no reward in game time. Update. The interface has changed. There are more free pictures but now the colors not in use don’t show what number to use. Your finished pictures no longer show at the bottom in “my pictures” or even at all. But worst, after you watch the video, the 10 minutes of good game play don’t come up most of the time. I have no idea if these problems are present when you pay. Game would be okay but there are limited options available if you don’t want to pay. I don’t mind watching ads but not this many for the limited 10-minute payoff in working game time. It takes watching two videos to even get into a game. A few pictures are available if you don’t pay, and there seem to be more available every day. But subscription price is $4.99 per month to remove ads. The interface is quirky and elements such as sizing down often disappear.
  • Fills in the entire block of color, even if you don’t want it to

    By bevwe945i8032491842109 (Pcmac user)

I love the concept of this app - what a great way to learn about art and get an appreciation for it! However, I want to color in one square at a time, kind of like a meditation, even if there are hundreds of squares that are the same color. The app will sometimes auto fill, even if that feature is turned off. It’s frustrating to think I know where I am on a picture, only to find that 1/2 of it has been completed without me. I understand that a lot of people love the auto fill option, but there are some people who don’t. When I turn off that feature, It should stay off. For that reason, and that reason alone, I had to delete the app. It just became too maddening.
  • Some paintings are skewed

    By ShelleyH (Pcmac user)

Update: I reduced the number of stars of my review from 4 to 1. I finished all of the available paintings about 1 month ago and there have been no new paintings added since then. As noted in my original review, I paid $6.99 to remove ads and be always able to use the auto fill feature. Now the developer keeps throwing up a page to get you to subscribe for $4.99 monthly to remove ads and have unlimited use of the tools. Since this started, there have been no new paintings, unless they are only offering new paintings to subscribers. Original review: I really like this app and paid $6.99 to remove the ads. Normally I don’t mind occasional ads, but the auto fill stops working after 10 minutes and you needed to watch an ad to get another 10 minutes. This is super annoying. My big beef is that some paintings (particularly very wide ones - so far The Last Supper and The Creation of Adam) are totally skewed. While they can still be colored, they look ridiculous. Since this seems like the only way you can contact the developer, I’d like to add in a suggestion that the user can use either landscape or portrait modes. This would be especially helpful on the really wide paintings and may resolve the skewing problem.
  • Ridiculously ad riddled

    By AmyNel22 (Pcmac user)

I am giving this a 1 star because zero stars is not an option. (It should be, though, rating and option.) It was fine, 4 star, even, (one star knocked off due to the zoom issue, which I’ll discuss in a moment) until the latest update. Now we must watch an ad for a 10 minute area auto-fill. And there are literally *thousands* of individual pixels to color in each artwork. So instead of, say, an hour to do one piece, if you don’t knuckle over and watch ad after ad after ad, you’ll invest HHHOOOUUURRRSSS to complete one project. Really?! It’s ridiculous!!! But wait, there’s MORE!! *Then* there are ads that materialize *during* your allotted 10 minutes and no, the timer doesn’t stop for the pop-up ads. To round off the frustration of this app, the picture automatically zooms in to about 12 blocks in your view. If you’re like me and like a larger view, even after you zoom out to try to color more blocks at a time, it insists on the 12 (or whatever) block view. If I would have known the update was nothing more than introducing ads to color more than one block at a time, it’d never would have been updated. I will probably delete this app if the developers don’t rethink this little nugget of brilliance.
