1. It gives me great pleasure to write this message at a time we are preparing in earnest for the 12th Annual Academic Sessions of the Association of Sri Lankan Neurologists under the theme, “Advancing Neurology through Collaboration”.

2. The Shangri La Hotel Colombo is the official host hotel for 12th Annual Academic Sessions of “The Association of Sri Lankan Neurologists” to be held from 16th to the 18th November 2018.

3. The programme spans three days, starting with a full day Symposium on Cerebrovascular Disease in collaboration with the National Stroke association of Sri Lanka and also includes other plenaries, the J.

4. The faculty includes a delegation from the Association of British Neurologists, and we are thankful for their continued support in our Annual Sessions.

5. A vibrant three days academic programme has been lined up, with a large number of local and overseas speakers.

6. The Annual Academic Sessions is the pinnacle of academic activity in the ASN calendar.

7. This year too, the scientific papers will be given more prominence with daily guided poster presentations, which will enable the researchers to present their research to a wider audience.

8. The Inauguration Ceremony will be held on 16th November at 7.00 pm.

9. Peiris Oration, neurology quizzes and several other symposia.

10. There will be parallel workshops in Neuro-imaging in Stroke and Evoked Potential Studies.

11. I invite all of you to join us at the sessions, which will be a time for good cheer, camaraderie and forging lasting friendships.
