  • Fix Facebook sync

By I drive a lot for work (Pcmac user)

I play on 2 accounts (2 devices) and I would really like to sync my progress to Facebook so I can play on the same account on both devices. Unfortunately Facebook only syncs backwards, so now that I’ve built up my account to level 40 and over 3 million chips, I have to lose all that if I want the ability to sync. It’s kind of unfair. When I first switched over, I accidentally synced my Facebook account because the data from version 1 didn’t sync over to 2 when I downloaded, as I didn’t realize I wasn’t already connected to FB on V1, so the data that synced took me back to level 5 and 300 chips (I was over level 100 and 1.5 mil chips on V1). When I reached out to customer service (Allistair) about it, they pretty much told me I was SOL and that I had already synced with Facebook, even though I sent him a screen shot of my V1 account that showed my user name and chip count. Luckily I figured out I could delete the app and re-download it which worked. I just wish customer service would have been nice enough to tell me to do that in the first place. Alas, if I ever sync, I will lose everything. I’ve been playing this game for 3 years and would really like to keep my stats and chips. Other than that, this game is super fun and I like that they’ve offered more opportunities to build your chip stash and increased rewards compared to v1.
  • Not the game it used to be

I’ve had the original app for a very long time and played a lot of games. But recently they’ve updated to #2. perhaps it’ll take them a while to get the algorithms right but there might be some people out there that are winning a lot of games but there’s some people out there that are losing all of our games. Or a definitely most of our games. I even went back to using the old app and it’s no longer the same either so they’re no longer supporting it. But couldn’t win a game if I wanted to and I usually play a lot and win A fair amount of the time. definitely things have changed. So I deleted both apps. Just decided I don’t need it. Chose another app from another company another type of game. Very sad and disappointing and certainly they need to do some work and get it fixed. But I am done with the apps. I wouldn’t put up with someone cheating in the game at the table. I won’t put up with the computer system that’s tilted. No matter how honest they say it is, it is tilted.
  • Eh.

    By Z3phyr9 (Pcmac user)

I played the first app for a long time and I’d say I’m pretty skilled. I won way more than I lost. Since I downloaded this app- I win maybe 1 out of every 10 games I play. So either my skill level dropped to zero or I’m playing bots and it’s rigged. People go out with gin before I even get to discard once. No matter what strategy I try, I lose. And I have never once won a game using a booster. I know it’s random bla bla, but the odds are definitely set for some and it’s not me. Which is a bummer because I think the app and game play is way better this time. If I play my hubby, we are about 1/2 and 1/2. In the rooms, I can’t win. So it’s not fun, feels like I’m set to lose and I may just delete it. Update: Dear Developer... then how do you explain a consistent win streak of 80% on the first app, and then 54% on your second one? Today I was dealt 90 deadwood and didn’t even get to pick up a card before my opponent knocked with gin. You’re lying through your teeth.
  • This version even worse than the last

    By daemundawg (Pcmac user)

I enjoy playing gin rummy. And at times it can be a lot of fun to play. But the amount of players, including myself at times, that can lay down and go out within two or three turns of the opening play is way too numerous. I contacted them about it and got some rewritten blurb about how its completely random and sometimes people just lose, but, for example, I just played a game and the opposing person went out within three draws of the opening play three hands out of four. I went out once within two draws. I don’t mind loosing but the game should last longer than that. I play in real life with real cards and I seldom have anything like that happen. The developers need to check their algorithms. I’d play if the hands lasted longer but as it is I think I’m over it.
