Practice Makes Perfect

I've been using this for many years. In the beginning it was sometimes difficult to get good results in more complex images. However with practice it becomes easier. The program has some idiosyncracies one gets used to in time. One can remove unwanted portions a bit at a time, going as small as choosing a single pixel and replacing it with a single pixel from another part of the image. This can be somewhat time consuming but the results are phenominal. For the most part the modifications are very simple and easy to do in a single pass. I highly recommend this software!
Great Time Saver - Great Results

To do a proper review of this app it’s too bad we can't post a before and after photo. See no way to do that so you are just going to have to take my word for it. This app works as advertised. I had a photo I liked very much but there it was with the subject holding a newspaper and another section of the newspaper sitting to the side. Without those items it was a pretty good photo. Using this app I was able to take out all the newspaper quite easily. I could hardly beIieve how well it did that. Because I am kind of obsessive-compulsive about photos, I did do a bit of touch up, but not much. It was amazing.
How good it be, compared to the “Big Boys," for $20 bucks?

Well, as it turns out, very, very good. The best part: It doesn’t have a learning curve of 10 years to do very good work. Like 10 minutes for the basics. The tutorials are excellent: Succinct, brief, clear, comprehensive. I do used the “Big Boys” occasionally, though I’m an amateur, but why would I bother for 90% of what I need to do when I have this? Brava! Bravo! Oh, and I must disagree with the headline copy; it’s not “magic;” it’s excellent, sophisticated software design that seems like magic. This is what good software design looks like. And their other apps are just as good.
Great app to remove unwanted objects

I needed to remove some unwanted people from a photo. this app did this perfectly, once I learned one small trick - details below. *** I downloaded the app based on the good reviews in the App Store. I found it pretty easy to use on the first launch. I am not familiar with other photo-retouching apps, but the concept of a mask was pretty easy to grasp. I painted what I wanted to remove, hit "Erase", and... I was disappointed. There were obvious artifacts in the background. I almost gave up thinking I wasted my money, then I noticed the yellow "?" button on the toolbar. Hit it, and I read a couple of simple tutorials, most importantly the one called "How to choose the Donor area". Once I got that, everything was clear. I definitely recommend the app. Just take 5 minutes to read how to use it.
