If you want to install and use the Home Design Makeover! app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Home Design Makeover! for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Home Design Makeover! for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Home Design Makeover! in the search bar and press Search. Click on Home Design Makeover! application icon. A window of Home Design Makeover! on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Home Design Makeover! icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Home Design Makeover! for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Home Design Makeover! for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Update makes it better, but....

I have been playing this game for several months now and, like other reviewers, I’m tired of getting stuck on the same level for days. I’m also getting quickly annoyed with the “candy crush” concept of the game. If levels are going to be that difficult and that central to the gameplay, then we should receive at least 10 energy a day and a higher monetary reward for the more difficult it is to beat. We’re all here for an interest in home design, not to be stuck trying to beat a “candy crush” level for three days; not to mention that after it’s all said and done, we only receive enough coins to purchase one feature for the house... I just would really love to spend more of my time designing than trying to beat a match level. Also, I LOVE(d) the limited challenge concept. I beat the first challenge in a day and I was so excited to start the next one, however, my amusement ended quickly when there was no reward whatsoever given for completing the challenge and the next challenge has not presented itself yet... I mean come on guys, really? Gaining coins is difficult enough already, and as I said before, I want to spend more time in the design concept, not the matching puzzle game. So keep the challenges rolling in and try to find a balance between the match game and the design portion. All in all, the graphics are beautiful and the design elements are awesome but the game needs to be more playable and engaging if it wishes to be more successful.

This game needs some upgrade and fixing if you want to keep players interested instead of frustrated. First, keep it interesting by rewarding accurately especially on hard levels where you only awarding 700-1,050 coins? really? Especially when you still have 15 chances left after beating level. Secondly, how about giving extra diamonds to accumulate instead of over charging 90 diamonds for extra 5 turns or extend play or power buttons which I never get to buy why? Because I refuse to pay .99 or more every time I need a power button to destroy shapes, not worth it. Thirdly, nothing is more frustrating than playing same levels for days just so you can feel forced to pay in order to move on to next level as it starting to look pretty obvious the logic of of difficult levels Ive played (I’m on level 222). I’m already reaching point where game not worth playing if I can seem to reap a fair reward when I do beat levels just to keep me stuck at one design for days. After this level if there is no real change besides now playing your 5 turns blindly and hiding your additional coins by just giving one whole accumulated amt (which by the way is now lower than ever before) and more random because how do you calculate the points reward to coins given????? Like another recent reviewer, I will be DELETING this game and won’t reload until there is a big and better improvements

I thought maybe I was the only one who felt this way until reading the rest of the reviews. I love matching games with rewards and building things. I played Garden Scape for a long time. But everyday on Garden Scape you get to spin the wheel to earn tokens, power ups, etc. they have competitions where you can win prizes (I’ve won a couple of them). But this game is so ridiculous. I love the concept and graphics but in the month I’ve been playing this game, there have been no diamonds rewarded, no power ups rewarded. The levels are so difficult to beat. I only get $700-$800 worth of money when I win, yet everything costs $1000-$1800 to buy. It takes me so long to beat a level that by the time I’m done with a room, I don’t care about it anymore and I’m sick of looking at it. The difficulty of the game doesn’t match the rewards we get. You need to make some sort of addition where players can win power ups/diamonds/etc because I think a lot of people will throw the towel in when it comes to this game. Rewarding players makes it more exciting and gives us incentive to want to keep playing. It’s one of the reasons I love Garden Scape. Knowing that I’ll win prizes or stocking up on power ups is exciting for me as a player and this game has none of that. Might want to consider adding that to this game, if not, you might lose a lot of your players.
  • Need Better Execution of the Concept

I’ve been playing the game over a week, I even downloaded it at one point, got frustrated & deleted and then added it again. It’s honestly pretty annoying that the game isn’t more enjoyable because it’s a great concept but details of the game are no good. I’ve been stuck on level 79 for three days & at this point I’m fed up. There’s no reason it should be that difficult to get through a level, especially when the game never offers any free power ups. Like someone else said, there should be daily rewards, level checkpoint rewards or something. Then, you only get $700-$800 per level, even as you move up to harder levels, yet EVERY item costs $1600 or more to furnish the room. It literally takes so long to finish a room that by the time you’re done, it’s not even fun anymore. At the very least, the amount of money you make should be moving up each level. I’m making the same amount I was making on level one. Also, even if you do break down and buy diamonds, each action takes SO many of them. You’re literally paying a dollar or more per move. Once you get stuck on a level, there’s no reason to keep playing except your own sheer willpower. Please make some major changes to this game so people can actually continue to like it.

  • Budgets and storage

I like the game but how about adding an estimated budget? It gets frustrating not know just how much money is needed for the project. I also hate that the bonus time has to be used immediately. How about a storage feature for time?

Started out loving this game but now it’s just annoying. Get stuck on one level for days and days. Relaxing? No.
  • HATE THIS GAME!!!!!

If you like the gem games or Candy Crush type stuff, then this game is for you! I HATE the commentary throughout the game. I hate spending 2 seconds choosing from one of three options for the few redecorating decisions you get to make, only to have to play that idiotic game I HATE to make money to pay for each decorating choice. I have severe anxiety issues and nothing stresses me out more than to be TIMED while stressing through the 99% of the game I hate doing. If you like timed games that is nothing more than a “match the gems” game, with BORING talk in between, then this is a great game for you! The only reason I played the game at all was because I just installed iOS 12 and my two favorite games (that I enjoy and that relax me) hadn’t been updated and don’t work. One was just updated 4 hours ago. I’m praying they hurry up and get the other one updated. Home Design Story is very relaxing and you actually get to choose everything from furnishings, to lot size... sorry. This review was supposed to be for this boring game, not my favorite one....
  • My favorite game!

LOVE this game. Was looking for a free game that would allow me to do home design stuff, heard horrible stuff about Chip and Joanna’s game, so I got Homescapes, but that was too cartoon-y and just wasn’t as design oriented as I wanted. Saw this game on an ad and bought it immediately— liked it fine for the beginning, exactly what i was looking for, but then the update made it more finished and now it is so addicting and the Limited Time Challenges are super, just wish i could have more time to complete them! Also the tasks could cost a little less- reasonable at the beginning but costs increase as u go on and it gets a little much— but overall suchhh a good game and in-app purchases are not annoyingly promoted which is a plus! Definitely would recommend to anyone who likes interior design

In trying to win levels, the unsuccessful gamer is forced to wait sometimes an hour for another “life” to continue the game. Why? They want you to buy lives! No thanks!
  • Game needs improvement

The actual game play is really fun but the levels are too hard. You usually get stuck on the same level for days. It gets very frustrating. The challenges are next to impossible to complete in 2 days when you can’t get past 1 level for 4 or 5 days. You usually have to get past 3 puzzles to do one thing on the rooms you’re making. Each level you have to pay move on the things for your room than you did for the last. I’m actually afraid to see how much things will cost on future levels. You have to pay for every power up you get. You don’t get anything free or for watching videos. I would never pay even .99 on a game that is so money hungry that it won’t give you a free power up or even a daily bonus.
  • Not worth it.

If your goal is to "play" a game where you are stuck on the same level for days, or you are forced to pay ridiculous amounts of money for one booster, then this is the game for you! Literally just got to a level where you have to clear over 250 objects in 20 moves.... Right. It's a shame, because the premise is cool, but the game itself is stupid. I understand the goal is to make money, but short of taking out a second mortgage on your home, chances are you aren't going far... Deleting app now. Totally not worth it.

I really like playing this game, but get really frustrated when I lack one winning the game and next puzzle has been changed and maybe I have to play it for maybe a day or so before I can win. I downloaded this game because I love to decorate the rooms but It becomes a choir when I have to play puzzle over and over. Sincerely, Mavis Bounds
  • Game items too expensive

    By SN1100
I’ve been playing this game for some time now and every day the items on the levels become more expensive. It now takes you forever to complete a level because some accent towels cost 3,000 + points. It’s ridicules. You don’t even get anything for completing levels! This game use to have reasonable point levels and was fun, now it’s just a drag.
  • Poor concept

If you want to have fun and enjoy designing different spaces, look elsewhere. You do not get to design or decorate rooms more then 1% off the time on the game. If you want to play candy crush but not in candy crush then maybe this is for you. I didn’t download a home design app to play candy crush puzzles.
