Really excellent for listening to Plex library
By Tacsagol (Pcmac user)
I originally bought this app just to be able to access my Plex music library from CarPlay, which it does pretty well. But I’ve wound up using the app all the time when all I want to do is listen to music. The Plex app tries to do too much, and it’s great to have a single app focused on accessing one type of media from your Plex library.
One thing I do wish is if it was easier to find music in the CarPlay interface. Having buttons dedicated to showing all the Artists or Albums in my library is not useful since it’s just a massive list I have to scroll through. I guess I could get to the album I want to listen to eventually, but I’ll probably get in a car accident while scrolling through the list!

Must have music app for Plex users!
By abw87 (Pcmac user)
For the admittedly niche users that prefers streaming their music library through their Plex server instead of Spotify/Apple Music—this is the missing Plex music app you’ve been yearning for! the app is smooth and intuitive—essentially everything the Plex music fails at. My library even loads faster than Plex. No lag in playback, no getting stuck buffering. Just a joy to use. Also, according to their website, offline caching is coming soon, which is the only feature that Plex has them beat currently (and even that is debatable since Plex seems to ignore my offline content for playback most of the time). In summary, if you use Plex for your music, get this, now!

Made me love using Plex for Music
By Paco II (Pcmac user)
I have all my media in Plex but hated using their app for music. I recently found the app and it changed my whole perspective. It's an elegant app dedicated to just music. As a result I forgrt that it is even using Plex behind the scenes (that's a good thing!). Has everything you'd expect from a good music player. It's smart enough to know if you're on your local network or remote. Downloads are handled seamlessly. I may finally now be able to cancel iTunes Match!

Much better than the official Plex app
By Owen D'Aprile (Pcmac user)
This app is very good, it looks and functions far better than the official Plex app for music, but if you have a lot of playlists or like to rate your music with the five star scale built into Plex, this might not be a good fit. It seems like the only way to see a playlist is to filter a whole library by a playlist, which takes quite a few more steps than just selecting one. Still far better for listening to music if you can get over these two issues though.
