Amazing drum/rhythm machine

Was initially taken back by the interface but figured it out the basics in under an hour. One cool thing: You can change SONGS instantly and seamlessly from the file menu, wherever you are in the measure and at the same count, if this makes sense. This makes it easy to create a live set with different songs without a break ever happening. Also, lots of options to randomize patterns. This sat unused on my iPad for almost a year. Now that I’ve figured it out and see all its potential, it’s seriously my no.1 music making app. Get AudioShare or Dropbox to import your own audio files.
Every Patterning 1 user should get Patterning 2. End of story.

If you’re even mildly interested in iOS Music Production then you’ve heard of or own the app, the most innovative drum machine app ever released. It was a tall order, but the developer tweaked the foundation and added some majorly useful additions that make this app a must buy. The ability to assign multiple kits and several grooves to a song makes it possible to arrange a track completely inside this app and then export that drum part to your DAW of choice. An incredible app...Highly Recommended.
Powerful and intuitive

At last a viable alternative to using highly limited drum drops in our keyboard. We are already using this app in our home studio. Still trying to learn and use its full capability. You can search for drum patterns on line and find neat examples of various popular beat patterns, then recreate them in this app. Then use them with modifications for your tastes and music needed.
When I load...

...patches from the drum kit library...(or an entire drum kit), they appear to load but once you draw some input on the wheel...and press play, different patches are playing (seems like the default kit). Once I save the project and reopen it, the correct (selected) patches or drum kit are/is loaded. But only after saving the project and then reopening...or just closing down the app and restarting it. I do have to admit I’m running on a beta iPad iOS so it might just get resolved once the latest update from either you or apple will come through.
