Install Remote for Chromecast app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Does not allow audio cast from Macbook Pro

I bought this app in hopes that it would allow me to cast not only video, but music as well. As described under the "Key Features: 2. Cast (Stream) local music to Chromecast", is not available. The only option i'm allowed is casting video. Until this is fixed, my review will remain at 1/5 stars due to miscommunication. Other features and viewing chromecast systems and groups created under the google home app on my mobile device are present. If the audio casting would work with those options, then I would definitely give a 5/5 stars.
Could not connect to Chromecast

Honestly, I was looking for something that would play local media, as well as internet radio and video (Youtube, what have you) on my Chromecast. This did nothing to help me with any of those things. The one thing it could do was change the volume on my Chromecast, and then, only if I didn’t first ask it to play any media first. Like another reviewer said, all I got on screen was the filename of the media I chose, and then an icon on a blue screen. I confirmed that my Chromecast and my Macbook are connected to the same wireless network and channel. Obviously, it could connect to Chromecast, but it refused to play any file. I tried mp3, mp4, mkv, avi, m4a, and others. Very disappointed. Support page does not even list this as a product. Would like a refund.

This app was all I could find to let me change volume for music cast from spotify on my Mac. It works for that. I would wish for a way to, pull down from the status menu to change the volume like I can for system audio.
