  • Switching from Blossom to Gro Connect is an upgrade so far

    By Ourstanley (Pcmac user)

So I’ve owned a Blossom controller for a year and had some quirky behavior which I hadn’t figured out whether it was too aggressive with the water sense, or whether there were some other issues with my system, but basically I wasn’t watering enough. Over the weekend I downloaded and connected to my Blossom using the this app app. The UI of the app is quite different, but so far it seems to have added some additional features and settings. When viewing an individual zone there is a button to tap to test the zone - this seems to be a 1 minute cycle. Very handy! When setting up the water sense there seems to be 3 or 4 more options that will allow me to fine tune the settings - things like root depth and inches per hour that the sprinklers put out in each zone. Also the schedule tells me what it’s planning to do each day. I’ll keep a closer eye on that this year to see if it really does increase watering to cope with the long hot sunny Kansas summer.
  • Junk

    By Unrivaled Interactive (Pcmac user)

Bought 3 sensors and the hub, one sensor has not updated water info in over 10 days the other one says 2 days and the 3rd one says 10 mins ago! Tried to reconnect and now I can’t sync to any of them because now the hub won’t read my WiFi standing next to the hub and WiFi router! This was a very bad $300 investment. Frys has a sensor that is only $20 and it reads the soil fertility, temperature, measures light and water! The app tells you the correct range for all of those feature and again is ONLY $20!!!!!!!!!! Pooop reads moisture better than this piece of crap! Thank you the app living up to the spelling of your name, just short of a real GROW product.
  • Easiest thing to use

By not so electronics savvy (Pcmac user)

I did not need my children to help me with this. I did it all on my own, within 20 minutes disconnected the old unit connected the new unit. Everything works great no problems with it so far. I like the fact that I can water my grass when I want to. Or let the schedule take care of it. I recommend this unit.
  • Geo never worked correctly

    By D44c44d (Pcmac user)

I had a Plantlink unit which Scott graciously sent me their this app unit after obtaining Plantlink. After literally 30 or 40 tries the home unit would not connect or stay connected to my Wi-Fi which was located 5 feet away. I worked with Customer Service and they were very responsive and the first time I sent the unit back they offered to give me $100 credit for Scott’s products . I waited too long to let them know the replacement had the same issues to obtain the credit. When it momentarily worked the sensor readings were never accurate.
